Spud’s goal to have a crater named after him? Well sure, who wouldn’t want that?

Apparently, the moon is not far enough for Spud’s mother.

I found out just recently that they’ve actually given areas on Mars earth names. There’s a Philadelphia, Mars. Also New Haven and Charleston.

One of the things I love about Spud and Wallace’s friendship is their acceptance of each other and their individuality. There is no expectations or judgement between these two. Just two best friends here for each other’s quirks, passions, and eccentricities.

The way Wallace often has his arms I think he’s channeling Sponge Bob, “I’m ready, I’m ready, I’m ready!”

Watched 2001 when it first came out; was in high school then. Thought for sure we’d have colonies in space by now. Dreamed of retiring on Titan – imagine waking up every morning to a spectacular view of Saturn.

Maybe musky can take that trip to Mars. That’s one pay per view for which I’d toss some cash.

The ancient Lunar Lander computer game (simple text, written in BASIC) involved trying to apply the right thrust for a soft landing on the moon. If you ran out of fuel and hit really hard, it would display “Congratulations, you created a new crater that will be named in your honor, posthumously!”

I assume that’s not what Spud is trying for.

Well, Snoopy and Charlie Brown made it to the moon back in the 60s. Snoopy is still out there somewhere.
