As we didn’t have Santa but St. Nicholas, we also didn’t have Elf on a shelf, so glad we didn’t! I think young me would have been terrified of that thing.

I never had the “Elf” on the shelf. I wouldn’t want one if you gave it to me.

Yesterday, I was driving to shop and saw a Christmas Tree someone had put out for pickup!! Someone didn’t want it to end.

Thatababy used a grater today to turn the soap into snow. It’s a rough day to be a bar of soap.

Oh! My!! CAT!!! That Elf On The Shelf is just the stupidest thing! I think Pet Rocks were less stupid! Especially when the lil imp starts doing things like that, which I’ve heard even adults do, as “harmless pranks”!

To install fear in kids when they do bad things instead of teaching them to feel pride when they act responsible is wrong. As soon as they come to a conclusion that there’s no authority able to retaliate they do as they please.

It’s what made the word the way it is today. From bullying in school to inhuman practices in businesses, to warlords and warmongers, to ruthless egomaniacs in politics.
