A Christmas Joke (…maybe a LITTLE early)

The guy was in the store buying a fake Christmas tree. The shop attendant asked him, “Are you going to put that tree up yourself?”

The guy replied, “Don’t be disgusting! I’m going to put it in the living room!”

Christmas trees don’t out out new (young) shoots till spring.

I never take down my Christmas decorations. Then again, I never put any up either.

(1.) That one percent being Santa and millions of his helpers.

(2.) Keep this fact to yourselves. Don’t spread it.

(3.) The reunion of Tim King and his long lost toy was cemented.

I want to see the Pawn Stars and Thunder Jet episode.

I never put up xmas decorations. Kids birthdays only.

Why would I want to put something I would NEVER want to eat in something I like to eat? The idea is so dumb it needles me.

I see some halloween decorations up all year. One neighbor changes them to reflect the coming holiday. Another neighbor has hearts strung between her Christmas wreaths.

Christmas was two months ago!

I’ve heard of pine needle tea. I suppose pine needles in butter is a kind of flavored butter.

Never had a snow day; never even heard of them till I was in my second job.

…why do swedes put christmas tree needles into butter?

Is that one percent of the U.S. population? Is it one percent of the entire U.S population, or one percent of the portion that put up Christmas decorations in the first place? What percentage never put up Christmas decorations to begin with?

I’m in the “never put up” portion, whatever that is. And yes, I know not to take Ripley’s statistics seriously.

I have a neighbor who’s apparently working to be a 1%er. Christmas decorations still up, and lit every night.

Two houses in the opposite direction is a neighbor with a 10 foot skeleton in their yard. It’s been up for about 2 1/2 years now. Dressed it as Santa this past Christmas (Grinch the one before). At least they do take the Christmas decorations off it.

Mint in box? Sweet! ☺

All too true on account of those window sightings I had aboard the buses – and that includes the front lawn decorations!

Shopping centers leave the lights on the trees all year round because they’re too much trouble to take down. They just turn them off

I know two chefs here on Vancouver Island who use cedar needles in their dishes. They are very tasty. Lots of cedar trees up here.

Pine and fir needles have a lot of vitamin C and antioxidants in them and are very healthy. Pine needle tea is a common cure for scurvy, among other things. Every spring I harvest young fir tips from a nearby forest and dry them out to make tea with. It has a delightful citrusy pine scent and flavor. All needles and tree species are not the same, and I tried quite a few before I found my favorite tree.

Pine tree needles seem like a painful source of fiber.
