Wow, such innocent times when we went to war with an enemy who had the EXACT same responsibility for 9/11 that Queen Elizabeth had—and I mean Elizabeth I, who died four centuries ago. Meanwhile, Traitor Trump is fetching and carrying for his owner, Vlad Putin.

I guess it’s too early for Sam’s evil “Sarah Palin” doll to appear.

@The dude from FL: “Listened to the orange fart today, for about 1 minute…trump has lost his mind!”

Yep. Dementia takes different forms. (I’m told that there are officially more than 100 different kinds.) E.g., I know someone with a type where he can appear rational and functional much of the time, but he is also subject to full-scale hallucinations, having conversations with “strangers” whom nobody else can see, or even hiding from “them” for fear they will try to rob or otherwise harm him.

While different in detail, Trump’s behavior is similarly detached from reality, and increasingly so… with the increase possibly encouraged by those around him claiming that his delusions are “real”.

I wonder how long it will be until he even attacks his “best friends”, e.g., Musk and Putin.

Has anyone here seen the 1962 film The Manchurian Candidate? It involved both Russian and Chinese mind manipulation of an American.

The thing that scares me most is the appearance that “everyone” — both news media and political leaders — seems to be assuming that Zelenskiyj and the rest of the Ukrainians will just meekly accept whatever “solution” Putin and Trump agree to. Even those European politicians who — away from the “news” — are discussing how to defend themselves if Putin tries to expand Russian rule beyond Ukraine.

Their lack of open disapproval — it should be dismissal — of the so-called “peace” talks is essentially a claim that Trump holds more authority in Europe than the Europeans (even if he has to go to the Middle East to say so). And Trump has basically said that the US under Trump will no longer defend any other country against Russian (aka “Communist”) aggression.

In fact, they should even be considering the possibility that Trump would send US troops against them, if they don’t do exactly as he demands. They should be closing the American bases on their land, as posing more of a threat than the “defense” which was the original reason for their establishment.

(FWIW, I’ve never believed in the philosophy of, “In order to protect ourselves from being forcibly enslaved, we must volunteer to be slaves.”)

Since Trump seems to believe that everything can be negotiated, if only by himself, and that in negotiation’s one must give up something to get the other guy to give something, and that Ukraine must give Putin some of what he, Putin, has already stolen by military force, in order to end a war it, Ukraine, did NOT start, thus rewarding Putin’s aggression; I have to wonder, should Putin decide to attack Alaska by claiming that the purchase of same for mere pennies on the acre was unfair to Russia, what of our nation would Trump be willing to give Putin to stop that killing? All of that assumes Trump wouldn’t just give him the whole state, cause he’s his buddy, after all. The blind foolishness is truly hard to fathom.

Back to the cartoon, how did Boopsie’s idea of texting BD during a (game?) time out resolve the issue of trying to get his advice during a firefight?

Vs. Brandon’s “threatening” telephone calls to Vlad. “What I am doing is putting together what I believe to be will be the most comprehensive and meaningful set of initiatives to make it very, very difficult for Mr. Putin to go ahead and do what people are worried he may do.”

Didn’t BD opt for active duty and go to Vietnam in order to get out of writing a term paper for one of his classes? Of course this was back in about 1971. I do remember his excitement when he got there, looking out of the airplane window and saying something like “Hey, look! Rice paddies!”.
