My wife is much younger than I am and she tends to get motion sick if she isn’t driving. She’s also a very careful driver, which given how often we see people run red lights here…

When Opal mentions the fabric store, Earl feels like a new pencil being pushed into an electric sharpener. Hoping it will overheat before he becomes a nub.

I read an article on uncluttering. There was a big section on unfinished crafts. He needs to check her fabrics inventory and not let her near his tools.

Teach the old bat how to drive the Studebaker Earl

Earl must’ve been having a bad day, but that’s a sad commentary for a grandson to hear from a grandfather. In the Bible, God associates old age with wisdom and honor. For example, Proverbs 16:31 describes gray hair as a crown of glory gained through righteousness. In the afterlife, believers are promised eternal life and joy, as seen in passages like John 3:16. These themes emphasize respect and fulfillment both in this life and beyond. We hope these words of Earl‘s to Nelson don’t turn out to be his last.

Most of us do get shorter with age.
