I’ve had pea soup thick enough to be gravy. Delicious!

I have been known to eat Mccormick’s Country Gravy with a spoon, but only after I ran out of chicken tenders (which were only devices for transporting said grave to my tummy).

I love tomato soup but I can’t have it anymore due to acid reflux. I miss it. I always loved it with crackers and a grilled cheese sandwich.

My Mum didn’t eat meat but she liked gravy. Tomorrow will be the fourteenth anniversary of her death so I am thinking about her more than usual just now.

Left over gravy is an excellent addition to most soups. Gravy, being made from a roux, and already in a liquid form so it blends in easily, as well as making a very flavorful addition to soup, deepening the flavor profile while providing a bit of thickening, creating a hardier soup.

I have never had it but, tomato gravy does exist. To make gravy soup, add a little extra milk to it. I have bought frozen packs of Gravy at Braum’s here in Oklahoma. I thin it down a little with milk. Yesterday for breakfast, I put the sausage gravy on mashed potatoes. I was still eating breakfast when the aide came to work. I also had egg scramblers on the plate.

“Gravy” is usually the best part anyway.

I used to use cream of mushroom soup as my gravy base. I was not very good or patient with making a roux.

Yes, it certainly should be. No argument from me. Just another tasty soup choice.

Tomato soup without a grilled cheese sandwich is like a bacon, lettuce, tomato sandwich without the bacon.
