Phoebe and Her Unicorn by Dana Simpson for March 25, 2025

This is a plot twist I should’ve seen coming, but didn’t. It’s a welcome one, for sure! Given the circumstances, it’s poignant, but I’m glad to see some sort of resolve.

If they’re both telling the truth, then they must have also spoken in unison when they told each other.

With it at this point, this one made me just smile. Max has been a fun character too see in this strip it’s been fun to see him. Dakota has been a real treat too, I loved how she changed over the course of the strip.

We’re taking care of all the family business. sniff

We are getting a reintroduction to the other key cast members. This looks like Chapter One of the first graphic novel. I think it will be fun. And the available collections and side stories are still out there. For those going “huh?”

I wonder if Dana’s graphic novels will be arranged like daily strips, or more like a regular graphic novel with a continuing story and not as many jokes.

This really looks like a new start. They seems to have grown up a little.

I’ve never seen Dakota smile so brightly as in panel 3.

That lasted a good 5 seconds.

Sounded like a line from Great Whit North, I fully expected Dakota to turn to Max to say “no it was my idea, you HOSER!!!”

Hold up…I have a theory:

What if Phoebe and Marigold get to see LSH’s true form out in the open as a gift? It could happen. I suspect, though, that Dana would still hide him from the sight of the viewers. May.hap she’d show a little bit his muzzle, but I doubt we’d get a view beyond his horn
