That’s so that the diehard fans can say, “Oh how Luann has grown!”

Much like a soap opera, nothing happens and the characters never shut up about it….

This is a family strip we all must remember, but it touches on things any of us with teen-agers, or that had teen-agers, or who were teen-agers can all relate too. And it has been drawing me and many of us in for years, wondering what the “soap opera” will produce. And it has a good edge every now and then, with story lines that leave you wanting more. Hey what more do you want with a little pleasant diversion anyway?

If it’s meant to be, it will happen. I remember an exchange student from Rhodesia that went back to Zimbabwe, as the country had a big change while he was in the US. His parent had moved to South Africa, but we had to send him back home, per the exchange student agreement. He ended up coming right back home at age 18 to his girlfriend and studying at the local university. He’s now been here almost 25 years and is a citizen. It could happen!

Could be that the call to Quill was a fake, a setup to get Luann to spill, and when she realizes she’s been had she’ll get so furious that she’ll break things off on her own terms.

Did anyone notice the color play in the second panel?!

God – Greg Evans let the balloon go p-p-p-p-f-f-f-t-t-t-t until there was nothing left. Still hoping for a surprise – however I wouldn’t put my money down on it.

I do think it’s weird that so many people thought Quill was going to be a long-term thing, when we’ve so clearly been gearing up for Luann and Gunther for years now.

Regrets are part of the non-romance business, Luann. You’re learning. Just remember, Australia is far away, but not inaccessible!

The only way Evans can salvage something from this Luann storyline is if Luann waits, still cracking stupid jokes, her eyelids at half mast as usual, till the Feather leaves her house, and then collapses, hysterically sobbing, in the last panel of tomorrow’s strip. But that would require actual character planning, so it won’t happen.

The nose knows.

Most people regret what they didn’t do more than what they did.

Learning from her mistakes? There’s hope.

Annnnnd that’s (almost) it, folks. Next week – Tiffany at Comics Con – as Eyez of Zeye. Look for a cameo appearance of Luann when she kisses Quill goodbye – in a month or so.

Poor Luann—first Aaron Hill, and now Quill! They knew he was going to have to go back anyway; I guess neither of them thought it would be that soon.

She should decide to go to college in Australia…..staying at Quill’s house.

looks to me like Quill might take advantage of one last desire on Luann’s part to say YES.. right now.

This why I like Luann! This kind of thing always ‘happened’ to me in my teens! We would go on vacations, and I meet guys on the last week (or before) we leave!! Poor Luann… I know the feeling!

All depends on wether or not they are able to dodge the Judge Doom dip spraydown as they cross the threshold.

His hand is on the door knob. If he is like most teens, he is getting ready to lock the door and she has already told him she had too many “no,s”. I’m not saying I agree with it, I don’t. But reality is what it is. That being said, I don’t think the strip will go there.

Maybe Dad’s call was a fake and Quill has decided he wants to get together with Tiffany after all.

Which is worse,regretting things that didn’t happen, or things that did [which you may wish didn’t?

1) Don’t we all regret what we did NOT do more than what we did? 2) Quill is ready to walk because he has plans— and this friendship didn’t shiver his timbers 3) Quill & Luann are perfect for each other because they have the same sense of humor.4) Ideal scenario: Luann in desperation boards the plane as a stowaway (somehow doesn’t die of decompression, cold, or lack of air), spends 6 months with his family in Australia, comes back and sees how Rosa has improved the appearance and confidence of Gunther, and falls for the Gunth. This would give us interesting strips both in the Down Under and in Pittsville. Just sayin’

“Bringing Aaron back would stir all sorts of pots.”.Yeah, seems right to me. By bringing Aaron back, Greg doesn’t have to introduce and develop a new love interest, so he can hit the ground running. I don’t care for Aaron’s looks or his attitude, but I can’t argue that he could get a lot of action started. As could Elwood, who I don’t care for either. Seems that Quill and Luann could have provided a lot of the romantic arcs that Toni and Brad now have a monopoly on..Now I think it’s time to bring Tiffany up front to “strut and fret her hour upon the stage”, but like everybody else I’ll have to wait and see…

not sure what your talking about but there is a lot wrong being gay. It was not meant to be look around not normal. Sorry but just telling it like it is. Birds and Bees thing. See any gay birds or Cats etc.

Does anyone here remember an idiotic newspaper strip from a few years back, whose title was “The Norm?” Particularly annoying was Norm’s mother-in-law who was called “Supermom.” Whenever the old bat came to visit, she would say something like; “Anyone makin’ babies in there?”
