Sooooo, business improves because of cheap decorations and ugly hot dogs covered in toothpicks and unappetizing toppings…? How exactly does that work?

Maybe the familiar characters are just decorations.

The only reason they’re all there is because TJ asked them to help him railroad Ms Awful.

It looks like everyone is chatting and enjoying themselves, EXCEPT for Miss Tiffany. She is alone and preening herself and no one is paying attention to her.

I don’t recall ever seeing Bernice so happy, ever. Brad, Toni, Shannon, Ox … Good grief.

By the holy skull of Mogg’s grandfather, is TJ setting himself up to replace Ann?

Hi! Longtime lurker here. I finally had to register so that I could make a couple of comments.

1) Brad/Toni/Bernice at WW? No.

2) Is it too much to ask of the following:

—-Ann takes credit for the increase in business, which we already know is going to happen. TJ is promoted to asst. manager.—-Then, someone injures him/herself on a toothpick, sues WW, costing Ann her job. TJ is then promoted to manager.

where is Elwood, Gunther’s mom and Luann’s parents? and where is the stupid bully? heck, maybe even Toni’s ex, Crystal’s brother and the fire chief?

Kind of neat. I don’t think I’ve seen almost all of the main characters (except mom & dad) appear together.

An interesting frame. AE knows who lots of these people are. And I have a problem with the plot ending on TJ becoming manager and kicking AE out – it’s too simple. Basically I don’t know what the Hell’s going on.

Hail, hail,the gang’s all here! —Most of them, anyway! The joint is jumping, its pulse is throbbing, the heat is on! Yes, the heat is on Annie Awful! What next?

Did TJ get the Assistant Manager offer in writing? Never trust Ann Awful! She could simply “forget” their little agreement. Hope TJ then has a back-up plan!

BTW – An “Assistant Manager” title and $20 will get you a drink in the year 2020. Titles like that are often simply permission to work harder. AE would still have to swing at a really bad pitch to get displaced. I feel a new arc coming – maybe some guy is going to hit on Bernice.

That was my first thought. Why have everyone there? Her folks are not there though.

I get it, it’s Greg’s tribute to the last days of summer vacation. That’s why the teachers and kids are there instead of the parents.

In a moment of delirium and passion, Ann, on seeing W.W. packed to the rafters with customers, turns to TJ to tell him he is the new assistant manager but, as their eyes meet and before she has a chance to say a word, Ann’s trembling lips press against TJ’s and all their repressed emotions and sexual tension comes to the surface. The storyline then turns in a whole other direction when TJ finds himself caught up in his own web as he comes to discover that, for the first time in his life, he has strong and intense feelings of love for a person he had once loathed. TJ will then find himself having to choose between Ann and the people who are his friends.

What ever happened to the storyline where Ann wanted to sue Toni for $25,000 because Shannon bit her finger? Where did that storyline go?

One does wonder how many are there for the olive bikinis on hot dogs and how many showed up because TJ put the word out for folks to come. It would explain why Brad’s ‘family’ is there. Anyway…once an assistant manager- what will it take to take that next step up the ladder? Hmmmmmmm

Reminds me of the closing scene of “It’s a Wonderful Life” with TJ as George Bailey. I’m guessing he invited everyone for a party to celebrate the “end of Summer”.

But will corporate approve when they finally find out? I doubt it!

Good to see all the characters in one panel. Is Greg retiring the strip… waht did you hear? Oh, no…

It’s all a dream. Just like JR had all those years ago.

Looks like a Back To School party to me, I mean aren’t the two older folks both teachers? Just a last blast before you hit the books kind of thing. I hope the strip is not going away but I DO so hope Ms Awful gets her comeupance. Kind of like seeing the creep that cut you off on the freeway, on the next exit with a Cop standing there talking to him. LOL.

It would be sad if Greg stopped this strip. Already so sad about Richard Thomas, who is right up there with Jim Meddick.

I am waiting for a sting operation to occur. One that was coordinated by TJ. Just waiting for someone from Corporate to “drop by unexpectedly” for a “surprise inspection” to find ‘Teeny Bikini Weenies’ on the menu without corporate approval. Wait for it….wait for it….

And victory for TJ, Ann agreed that if his crazy idea upped sales, he became assistant manager. I think I see TJ’s scheme. He’s trying to climb the corporate ladder, go around Ann Eiffel and then fire her. A perfect revenge.

Oh, and it would be perfect if he accomplishes the revenge in the winter, because the Klingons say “Revenge is a dish best served ‘cold’” lol
