“I believe this was delivered to me by mistake!” says the stranger. Thunder rumbles. “To ME—LES MOORE!” The heavens erupt! The skies open! In the distance, a dog barks and crickets chirp.
We often complain about how an important event happens out of view and then discussed later. This might be the first time the punchline happens in some one’s head and we don’t get to know what it is. It might be a whole new genre — characters reacting to hidden punchlines…
I’ve had Amazon notifications that said “Package delivered” when it wasn’t. I called, and they told me “Sometimes the drivers just mark them delivered at the end of the day!”
The Package is probably delayed in the same Climate Damage mishap that is holding up Batton Thomas Omnibus Silver Age Comix Kollections. Climate Damage just got personal.

Isn’t it rich?
You’re wearing your last pair?
UPX here at last on the ground
You in need of new underwear
Send in the clowns
Isn’t it bliss?
Don’t you approve?
One who keeps using all the Charmin and throwing it around
One who can’t move with fear his bowel will let loose
Where are the clowns?
Send in the clowns, someone will be pooping on the ground
Send in the clowns

I got notice of a delivery with photo from the Big River Books and More Store showing my package sitting on the steps of my neighbor’s porch.

I have never seen package tracking that meant much. Usually they say “today”, and it’s the very last thing in the afternoon.
