Holy high-tech hives! First we got the Chinese giving us murder hornets and now we learn the cops are unleashing advanced drones?! This is outra… what’s that you say? Ohhh… mechanical drones with rotors and joysticks, not cyborg honeybees. Well that’s different. Never mind. :D
Now that they know Daisy’s “day job” location I suppose these drones will be watching the coming and goings there while a separate drone will follow Daisy anytime he goes out.
If that meteorite is as valuable as they seem to think, one would think that Tracy’s dept. would already have a teleguard camera or two in place at the museum. The Dick Tracy Teleguard was the forerunner of modern closed circuit security cameras.
So the cops will be able to stake out all the potential targets with drones, and screen the results with face recognition software for Daisy’s unusual appearance. I like it.
I fear many of those drones will be stuck over selected private swimming pools or beaches – if they can find airspace among the many privately operated drones that are doing the same “surveillance”
It’s more than the WHO or CDC. I visited a radiology lab on Friday and this morning I had an e-mail purportedly from them asking me to participate in a survey about my visit. I (stupidly) clicked on the link and the first thing they asked for was my birth date. Not Gonna Happen!
Dr. Riger is remotely responsible for the rise of Skynet and the demise of human civilization (as in the Terminator franchise films)? But, before all that transpires, will his surveillance drones uncover the whereabouts of distinctively dapper Daisy Dugan? These new drones may even be better than Froglandian Surveillance Pickles. [Come to Frog Applause if you have no idea what I am talking about. There, you will become even more confused. But that’s okay.]

Meteorite a right rock star, down at the museum
Natural history captivates. Displays, all wish to see ‘em.
Yeti eyes a payout if the rock can be acquired
Daisy made to jump through hoops, do all that is required.
Elsewhere, meet the drone maker who puts eyes in the sky
Cameras mounted everywhere. These drones both fly and spy.
Dick and Sam are on the case. They cast their gaze at Daisy
Should Yeti learn what’s going down, would make the big man crazy.
The way he done poor Rabbit; it was lethal. It was wrong
Should Daisy not secure the stone, he’ll sing a dead man’s song.

Nothing like a new snooping program for the police.
And here, they’re still arguing over the merits of license plate cameras on the back of traffic lights!

Is that a CB radio Dr. Riger is using?

Good morning™, surveillers!
Surveilling the strip today, I see they have a new technology guy on the job. I think that’s fine.

Installing hardware everywhere seems easy and a one-time expense. Getting enough eyes to watch all that info will be the issue.

Getting a guy to rig the drone’s named Rigor is interesting!!!

I wonder if Dr. Riger’s name is a pun or a reference?

I guess that Diet Smith’s not Tracy’s go-to tech guy any more…

Trivia Point: I was thinking of prolific character actor Olan Soule as a model for Riger, as mentioned in my character notes I sent Joe S.

Tracy might want to have a backup in the form of a Junior Crimestoppers field trip to the museum.
