The most important task for an adult human is to raise your children to be responsible and not be a drag on society (in other words, take care of the first two levels of Maslow’s heirarchy of needs). Once that is done, feel free to become altruistic and fix the world’s problems.

Yeah, this is the kind of not-for-profit community-service action best handled by big companies with an image to polish … like Nike.

It is a full time job if you want to go up against corporations who have PR staff and lawyers unto the third generation.

The past is gone. We must live with it and fight to undo the effects of past negligence now. At least half of Congress must go, the average American must be educated as to how serious and immediate our problems are and what sacrifices ALL of us must make to keep our environment a habitable and pleasant place to live in. Our consumption-based economy must be scrutinized and replaced by an equilibrium-based one. And, we must control our numbers peacefully and sensibly or war, disease, starvation and/or a toxic environment will do it for us. Now or never.
