All this angst for nothing. Your appearance on the TV has been already forgotten….except your parents. Are you angsting over your parents? Nah. Methinks it’s over being seen on TV.

Zillion bucks Canadian, Mike, or zillion bucks from another dollar-using country?

This is life in your teens, Mike

Trust me Mike, There will be times when you’ll commit blunders that make this look like small potatoes.;-D

Mike, for the first time you say something that is true, about why you did the protest, I hope you find the answer!

At least Michael realizes what he did was wrong.

I bet his friends are clueless as to why they’re being punished.

Sounds like a good theme for a story Mike. You could write a book about this.

It is too bad that Mike does not have a time turner.

A zillion (Canadian) dollars… that’s like 1.37 USD…

Years from now, when he’s an adult, he will laugh at all this and remember with fondness memories like this. Even write about it, maybe, since this character becomes a writer.

The reason I know that no one will invent a time machine in my lifetime is that I don’t remember an older version of myself kicking my teenage butt down the street! Of course, that could have happened in the other leg of the trousers of time, a common risk to time travel!

Nothing you do or say will make you feel better right now, but tomorrow it will start to fade and eventually you’ll do something stupid enough to put this completely out of your mind. …it works for me.

If only…………

If I could go back in time before I made some of my mistakes, I’d make some of them sooner.

Don’t worry Michael, learn from you mistakes and do not make them again.

It is never so bad the next day, we’ll most of the time.

@GeorgeInAZ- I thoroughly agree. It’s just a part of growing up. And I would always tell the teenagers at the high school I last worked at, that some of your worst mistakes turn out to be the greatest teachers!

He actually has a sense of shame. Good for him. Now if everyone who made fools of themselves did this instead of doubling down on the stupid even louder and repeatedly, the world would be a better place. Unfortunately a lot of people have no sense of shame at all. They need to have one installed.

Time machine would kill the casinos. Just Roulette alone you could break each casino in just a few hours!

They would make a zillion bucks but they would disrupt the space-time continuum.

Sometimes I wish I could shake some sense into some of the commenters here. They turn this forum into a political debate about which side has the most destructive riots. That kind of discussion does not belong on this forum.

It could have consequences. For example, if Elly was sick of low-paying jobs, rejection, and being considered a second class citized, i.e. “Get lost, dropout!”, what if she used time travel to fix that? As a young woman, she would rebuff John’s advances, saying that nothing or no man is going to get in the way of her becoming a respected college graduate. Michael would then fade into nonexistence.

There was also the case where he used food coloring instead of stage makeup for Halloween. As a result, his face was still green in November. He complained to his mother that he would be “Avacadohead” for the rest of his life.

Not a time machine ! You’ll only mess something up and have to make 2 sequels to fix it.

Mike has nothing to be ashamed of. Protesting a public policy initiative is a kind of a sacred right in Canada. It seems wrong for Michael to be shamed for having done it.

Still waiting for blm to be charged and prosecuted for almost burning down Portland and other cities in their “peaceful protests”…

The trials and tribulations of a teenage boy… Life goes on.

It was Michael’s idea to go on strike, much to John’s chagrin.

Michael has learned his lesson the hard way: One “aw sh-it” can ruin all your “atta boys”.

I could retire with a zillion dollars if I saved a quarter every time I had to counsel young sailors about causing problems, such as one young man who got two women pregnant in the scope of three weeks. When it come to out-of-wedlock pregnancy, there are three options always available:

1.) Bad

2.) Terrible

3.) Even worse

You didn’t error Mike, you had every right to protest a fare hike. It is through protests things like this change.
