Oh, Elizabeth, Mike is telling how he stalks girls he likes. If you see a boy doing this to you, you should stay far away from them. Stalkers rarely make good boyfriends.

Teenage angst in a nutshell.

the point made is that if you are involved you are involved. people use the same logic to not get married, yet they live together for years; so if things “go wrong” they are not going to avoid “being hurt”. lynn is pointing out that sort of reasoning doesn’t make sense.

“But my tongue-tied young pride would not let my love for you show, in case you’d say no…”James Bond flick “From Russia with love”. I’ve always liked that line because that’s exactly the way it was for me and now, I suspect, for most young boys.

Are you aware, Mike, that you could have been arrested for stalking??

It’s really nice to see Mike and Liz conversing civilly, without insults and name-calling.

OMG… he’s describing someone else that the re-FOOB hasn’t seen yet… poor Lizzie has peaked at 14 and the rest of her life will be a downward spiral because of this person :-p

What Mike was doing is called “Stalking”.

It’s not just about the rejection, it’s the knowing.

I can’t really identify with this. In my Canadian school our lockers were out in the halls, and there was never any desk nearby that Mike could sit at and watch his girl go to the locker. In fact I don’t remember any desk in any school hall. That would kind of block the traffic flow. (There were some lockers in the gym change/shower room, but at the time they weren’t coed. A guy couldn’t see his girl’s he liked locker from there.)

In past strips, Michael and Gordon’s following of Allyson Creemore would have certainly been considered stalking.
