Says the kid who has no serious illnesses, goes to school, seems to eat well, and isn’t in a wheelchair.

The universe barely knows you exist.

Your “indifference” feels a lot like “unfair” to me.

As Marcus Cole in ‘Babylon 5’ put it “What if the universe WAS fair and everything that happened to us was because we deserved it?”

What is extraordinary? Something that someone experiences may seem ordinary to them but may seem to be extraordinary to outside observers.

The universe is horribly unfair and horrendously indifferent in so many incomprehensible ways!

And that’s just the the positive side of looking at it!

Does this universe make me look fat??

I had a four digit office phone number for 15 years at my previous job. When I got my new job (completely different company, different industry) they gave me the same four digit number. 1:10,000 odds.

Frazz is correct. Stephen Crane said it another way.

A man said to the universe:

“Sir, I exist!”

The universe has nothing to do with it.

You know the saying – what’s not absolutely impossible is absolutely inevitable.

Extraordinary things happen every second of every day. We just don’t look close enough, or in the right place…

Most of us define “fair” as “biased in my favor, because I deserve it”.

The universe is not only indifferent, it’s rife with death traps for humans. That we are here at all beneath a mere 6 kilometer of breathable air is amazing.

I used to think we lived in an uncaring universe. But I was wrong. WE care.

Aren’t we all part of the universe ? An infinitesimal part, but never-the-less, a part.

Also kiddo, no matter what your family tells you, you are not the center of the universe. Their universe maybe, but not the whole universe.

Also random, which is the part that really scares some people.

Large enough to fit in one’s imagination.

Unfair? Only a normally self centered child would feel that way till they grew older. Also posit that if the universe did give you what you deserve you would not want it.
