Wow! Look how big that guy is. I’ll bet he’d make an heckuva good NFL tight end.

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (AP) — Wake Forest quarterback True Standish has been declared ineligible for this season after working with a professional athlete pursuing an NFL career.

If you’ve got good hands, they can transition to football rather easily!

I dunno, it strikes me that Old Home Week with multiple former characters is at least more creative than Yet Another Lame Golf Story.

Since this is Memory Lane Summer, where is Molly Kinsella, Torry and Kemper Peake? Kenny and the luscious Mrs. Lark? True truly rocking the mullet.

P1, The odds of True being in Milford are pretty slim. Wake’s first game is 8/31 and since True missed half of last season because of the never ending 2nd in The Valley (Again!) baseball season, I imagine he’ll probably get his scholarship yanked since he can’t make the games.

P2, If you’re correct, Coach, and True is home for a few weeks, he’ll once again miss the beginning of the season at Wake, for what? To throw a few passes to a washed up ex NBA player with a bum knee who has delusions of being an NFL tight end because he’s all hot and bothered over Heather?

P3, True’s shirt should really read WTF.

In all reality , Kevin Pelwickie while defending J Quan clumsily stumbles and crushes J QUAN’s good knee ending any hopes off him playing in the NBA or the NFL .

After Tru(dat) drove back from Hawaii, he found out he was fourth on the depth chart. He realized how unprepared he was and came back to get some real coaching from the Burns family. Gil showed him the hand painted GIL mugs he’s selling on Etsy now. Suggested Tru buy a few with his scholarship money.

Who is that guy in P2 and if True is home for a few weeks, does that mean he got cut and dropped out of school?

The colorized version show’s True’s shirt to be Carolina blue. A Wake Forest shirt in Carolina blue. I seriously doubt that exists in the world.

OK, 30 or not, is there anyone who thinks an NBA player doesn’t have hands good enough to catch a pass from a Wake Forest underclassman?

Maybe Jaquan was right about having it backward. Maybe he should become…a coach.

Oh, sure, let’s bring back old characters that already had multiple years of stories. But not any, oh, just for example, Milford alum who works in the school, which means they should be visible all the time, and that one time they saved the girls’ basketball season and then was just ignored after that…

De Ja Gil: Jaquan surprises everyone with his patch catching skills as he’s leaving the park he misjudges the curb and ends up at an all you can eat QB Buffet Camp
