In high school I was dating a guy and weâd been walking along a creek by my home. He bent down and came up with a snake trying to scare me. It was just a small garter snake and so CUTE! I have always loved snakes. A friend worked at a pet store that had a 10-foot red-tailed boa. I was holding it when a HUGE!!! soldier walked in and froze. The dude was like 6â 5" and his arms were the size of my head. He was the total warrior package and was terrified of snakes. We finally got him to pet one of the small ones, but he wasnât coming near the big guy.
On Fridays my high school Earth Science teacher would tell stories of trips he and his college buddies took; letâs say that whenever they went to Colorado the name Coors was significant (back then it was only available there). On a camping trip âBoom-Boomâ adopted a snake he named Herman â one of the rattle variety. When he awoke from a coma after being bitten, his first words were, âWhereâs Herman?â

If he has a sleeping bag how were they going to short sheet his cot? I guess they might do both at the camp.
