I think that Quill and Luann ought to have sex now. This can provide lots of follow up plot opportunities: (a) They go on and pretend that it never happened – - – - she’s embarrassed, but ultimately they have some of “Shades of Grey” type scenes; (b) Luann thinks that she might be pregnant. She discusses this endlessly with Bernice and Delta, and stresses out about telling her parents, but ultimately finds out she’s not pregnant; © She ends up going to college in Australia to be closer to Quill, but they don’t communicate, so he goes to the US for college, and they’re still half a world away; (d) More nudity and sex between Quill and Luann. They go to a swing club, and who do they see? TJ, Ann, and Bernice in a threesome. Ultimately more of the gang gets involved, and they all end up on the Jerry Springer show; (e) etc., etc., etc.

Hey, I’m not trying to be gross or anything. These are just some ideas that would make the strip really interesting to the readers. (Are you listening, Mr. Evans?) We all know that everyone would be looking forward to the daily strip (pun intended).

I’m puzzled about the “?” after Quill instead of “!”She doesn’t see him yet, or know him, or recognize him, or believe her eyes? Seems like an “!” would indicate excitement, joy, love, etc. – all of which would be appropriate if she recognized him.

I too believe that Brads “Ring box” was actually for Luann from Quill. And Quill is skyped large on the big screen TV, and that Brad and Toni are dressed in Aussie garb and Shannon is dressed as a Kangaroo Joey. Then Brad and Toni go for a Walkabout and Brad finally gets Toni Outback.

He may not have bought her something, but he brought her something… indeed!

Duh, yeah, I know. In case YOU don’t know, the strip has an ensemble cast. Do you, or anyone here, like every single member or every single storyline of every single ensemble cast? No? Gee whiz! Imagine that. So get off my back.

If it’s the real Quill, Greg would have shown him. So there’s got to be a surprise coming..If it’s just Quill on Skype, it’ll be a letdown. Bad idea to build up reader anticipation and not deliver..My guess? It’s Quill on Skype, with a ticket to Australia leaning against the monitor.

I suspect that Quill had it all arranged with Brad to have a gift at his house for Luann, and that he set it up so that Brad set up a Skype connection so they could talk with each other while Luann opened her gift(s). It MIGHT even be that the gift that Brad snatched away from Luann the other day was the gift for Luann from Quill. Although, it could be an engagement ring for Toni.

He might have even arranged for a special “dinner” for Quill and Luann (Quill may have asked TJ to cook it) that they would eat together as they skype. Quill probably will just eat a vegemite sandwhich while Luann dines on whatever TJ made for her.

Now that’s one cool setup.

What Brad buys for Luann on his own is not going to be what he buys for her on Quill’s behalf. Especially if he’s using Quill’s money.

Or maybe he’s still lying on the couch sucking on a tube of Fosters. Occam’s Razor.

I think he’s there. When I got to the third panel, I pictured him sitting casually in a lounge chair, waiting for her. The question mark made perfect sense to me, she was just on skype with him. But he was skyping from Brads. I think the gift in question was Brads for Toni. Why wouldn’t Quill get a gift for Luann himself. Just my 2 cents. We’ll find out tomorrow…maybe.
