It’s called “Built-In obsolescence,” Frank. It keeps Industrys going, and their Owner’s Rich. And THAT is just one of the reasons why Aliens won’t talk to us.

    (At least not Offically). ;)

Happy Father’s Day to the all the guy’s here, and to the gals that stepped up and had to fill that role. God Love ya.

And a shout to Gunther, Tiffany and even Les. Lord knows they need a father figure in their lives right about now……,

Well if it’s any consolation, it looks like a working day for Frank so it’s probably not Father’s day. Hopefully his Father’s day will go better than this day did.

The main complaint about plastics is that they don’t break down quickly enough.

The panel I like is the 3rd, where Franks thinks, “Ugh! Laces break at the worst times” while he is sitting in a chair in front of person at a desk with the nameplate “BOSS”, which either means it is Frank’s boss or it means it is someone with the name “Boss”. Either way, there is something about this meeting that causes Frank to need to tie his shoes and he has an unfortunate lace break. What could it be that Frank has to do where he requires the laces of his shoes to be tight?:

    1. Frank is running the rat race both literally and figuratively and he needs those tight shoes for the actual racing.

    2. Frank told the boss, “I will break my foot off in yo ***ss!” and finds that he is unable to deliver thanks to those broken laces.

    3. The handsome prince boss came along and said, “Whosoever can fit their foot into my business shoe shall become my wife and the future queen of the kingdom” and Frank is desperately trying to achieve the princess rank.

    4. Frank bought shoes from a drug dealer and he is trying to find out what he laced them with, so he is not tripping all day.

    5. The boss told Frank that before he criticized him, he should walk a mile in his shoes, and Frank is taking him literally.

Gosh. When was the last time we saw Frank at a day job? ’Course, this might be a throw back strip from “My Worst Day At Work Ever” strip.

And then he went home to Nancy who told him the dishwasher is broken and Luann broke his favorite coffee mug. And by the way. What happened to your glasses?

I realize that getting floss broken between your teeth can be annoying. A broken copier at the exact wrong time( and they seem to know to break down at exactly the wrong time) can give you ulcers. All those things are annoying, but tape the glasses back together and spend the money to get brakes on your car. The results of bad brakes can make floss between your teeth pretty insignificant.

It’s nice to see Frank doing the fatherly support role, looking good in his middle-class, white-collar way, soldiering on, as father’s have the duty, most of all, besides unconditional love, to do. (Sorry for duty to do, but I can’t think of a lyrical way to put it as some of us here are very good at). Happy Father’s Day to tall! And to you Greg. Karen was not even here when you started this toon.

Would’ve been nice to have a tribute to all the Luann dads for today, with the last panel just be someone holding an ultrasound picture. Leaving a new arc to Brad and Toni expecting their first child…considering how much we see them in bed together.

Here’s one: After hearing that Tiffany is coming over, Les asks Gunther if he can borrow a tie.

Pressed for what shirt he wants to match it with, Les responds,“none …it’s for the doorknob”. And proceeds to inform Gunther about the “tie on the doorknob” protocol.
