Uh, Brad, son. I hate to tell you this, but it’s against the law to yell FIRE if there really isn’t one.

A fire crew will check each room for smoke and expose the party in Kip Lee’s room.

Egads, Gunther, you’re gonna get fire under your feet for calling out a false alarm, ’cuz we just KNOW that Bernice is going to pull the fire alarm in the hallway and evacuate the building! Bad, oh bad, bad, bad…

“Situation handled”??? In what way, Tiff? You told Gunther to lie and deny seeing you in the hallway. Now Bets, who is no dummy, mentions that she heard Tiff in the hallway, and Bernice looks thrilled. And now Gunther is going off-script and shouting “Fire!”.

So many things that can go wrong… looking forwards to seeing how this all collapses!

It’s all going to come crashing down any second now, and it won’t be pretty.

Gunther, you could have just said “no”.

There will be a fire in 3…, 2…, 1…

Wonder if Stef heard what Kip said? And Tiff? No, you didn’t have it handled. You did not tell Gunther to keep Bernice away from the party. You only told Gunther not to tell Bernice she went to the party, to pretend he doesn’t know anything. So Gunther will not stop Bernice if she hears about it and goes to inspect. Gunther will not stop her from doing her job. So, get ready to flee, Tiff.

And who’s gonna get busted, Gunther of course, poor clueless stupid Gunther; “yelling fire” (in a crowded theater, or in this case, study hall), ain’t “protected free speech”.

Oh dear – and Gunther, who was so adverse to lying at all, comes up with the MOAL….. sigh

That’s one huge “secret” room they’re holding the Blackout party in. I’d have to think that any space that large in a dorm would be hard to conceal from uninvited residents and R.A.’s.

Will Gunther be the one who sets off the fire alarm, or Bernice? Either way, no hilarity will ensue…

It’s no secret that Gunther is not too bright when it comes to…..common sense…but this is just dumb!

Bernice Buzzkill goes into full alert mode.

If Gunther fake the “fire” declaration, Bets might break up with Gunther. Bets has zero tolerance for deception ( remember Leslie Knox ).

Poor Gunther doesn’t have the cohones to stand up to any of these women from Tiffany, who manipulated him to lie, Bets who is too aware and smart not to have noticed the commotion with Tiff outside the study ball, and Bernice who overhears Bets and seems to be thrilled to know Tiffany is/was there. So he responds by a truly silly, and possibly dangerous, and illegal misdirection play. Meanwhile Tiffany is greeted calmly by Kip, although Stefi seems non-plussed. Does he deserve Bets? Did he betray both his old friends? How the hell is this going to end up? Stay tuned for Monday, unless Greg pulls one of his patented misdirection plays.

Bernice will discover the party and there will be trouble for everyone. > Everyone will blame Tiffany for making them discover. > Tiffany will blame Gunther for not be able to lie. > Gunter will feel bad, but he will also be very angry with Tiffany who lied to him. > Bets will try to save everyone friendship. If this is the future, I admit, I like it. Sure, Gunther might even be able to say nothing. But, right now, it seems difficult.

Are they partying in a warehouse or something? It’s adorable that they made a banner for this event. So high school. Look at banner, Tiffany!

Where there’s smoke there’s FIRE! We even have a “smoking Gun” in today’s strip.

I don’t believe we will have a conflagration event involving Brad and Toni. (That’s already been done. I believe it was when TJ’s “roach coach” went ka-blooie.) More likely a trash can fire or some such. A sprinkler system would nicely “put a damper” on the Blackout festivities plus expose the clandestine party. All the subterfuges would thus come to light and “hilarity ensues®.”

This “exposure” outcome would cause the maximum relationship disruptions among the strip’s principals (Gunther, Tiffany, Bernice, Hall-A denizens and possibly Bets). Such an outcome would certainly within the zeitgeist of the Luann comic strip lately.

On the old ABBOTT&COSTELLO TV SHOW—Costello has accidentally put quick-drying cement in Abbott’s hot footbath.

Wow, Gunther is worse under pressure than I imagined he would be. And this is 80’s sitcom pressure, not a real problem. I wonder how he will feel about Tiffany misusing him like she did. I’d throw a flag on what she did… call “Improper use of friendship”

Gun shouts “Fire”. now everyone in the study ball will panic and run out into the hall. If Tiffany gets associated w/ this event (whatever it is) she could be among students who might be suspended over this.

Yelling Fire in a crowded Dorm. Not going to end well for Gunth.

Especially since Tiff & her fellow Partiers will not Hear the fire Alarm over their own noise.

Which, come to think of it, should have been audible two dorms over, never mind the Same Dorm.

When I was in college one of the dorms had so many false fire alarms that people started ignoring them, then one night there actually was a fire and some of the people who ignored what they thought was a false alarm ended up trapped in their rooms with the smoke and fire. Fortunately no one was killed, but some people were injured jumping from their second floor window or trying to catch people when they jumped from the window. After that night the false alarms pretty much came to a stop.

Gunther never yell fire you will start a stampede.

At one time Tiff would dress like Stef is now.

Gunther’s quick flash of expediency will shrivel when Brad and Toni show up in full rescue gear and begin to fulminate….

That really is the biggest dorm room that I have ever seen!
