My phone has different ring tones than my wife’s has. Why would they use the same ones? The tone I have for my wife’s calls goes: it’s the wife! IT’S THE WIFE! People in the grocery seem to enjoy it.
Just once I’d like to see a splash of color in the Sunday strip. A little red, some bright blue, dare I ask for some golden yellow? The Sundays are so lackluster.
And what’s the joke here? Did they both choose the same dialtone and not compare them? Have they forgotten what tone they chose (incipient dementia)? Or could they not figure out how to change the dial tones? They have a 18 year old in the house. That all the technical help they need. (Where would my wife and I be without out daughter to fix our phones). Or did Greg forget to renew his subscription to Joke-Of-The-Day?
They could record their own tones and use them. That’s what I’ve done with almost all of the notification tones I use on my phone. Then again, neither Frank nor Nancy would even know how to do that . . . and I doubt Luann would have the patience to even show or help them do it.
Mine has a simple “Jason is calling” voice ring tone I created. Everyone else just has a generic ring tone. The first I always answer, the rest I do later.
The phones should not be on the nightstand because all the notifications would wake them up. But they could definitely record their own ring tones that use their names. And if they can’t figure it out, one of their kids could help them.
Actually, it could go “Frank, Frank, Frank” or “Nancy, Nancy Nancy”. Just make a recording on your computer of whatever you want the ringtone to be, and add that to your phone. Depending on what kind of phone you have, it’s only 5-10 easy steps.
Different ring tones don’t work for my husband. Half the time when his phone is in his pocket I have to ask him if he’s going to answer his phone. He usually says “Oh I thought that was your phone” lol
We’ve been having a spate of small, but very close earthquakes lately. I’m getting text notifications of earthquakes as they’re occurring. Thanks so much! I was was wondering why my house is shaking!

Wouldn’t they just each have their own phone on their own night table? Would be zero confusion!
So will Stef scream at Gun when she sees Kip is gone? lol

If I left my phone on my nightstand I’d have to have a ring that says, “It’s your phone, not the alarm!”

First Nancy can’t remember the pin# for her debit card (when buying groceries); now it’s her phone ring tones she no longer recognizes.

Wow. It’s so quiet on GoComics I can hear the crickets. 2am on a Sunday.

Why can’t they just turn the d@mned things off at bedtime?

I’ve heard you can set it differently for different callers. Too complicated. I just have one ringtone, the opening riff from the Who’s Baba O’Reilly

I turn mine off at night. My wife doesn’t know how to turn the phone off.

My wife ordered me to pick a tone she couldn’t confuse with hers. Not that I get that many calls / texts anyway.
Is hearing loss or memory loss the reason being suggested for Nancy and Frank forgetting their own tones?
