The lesson here is to keep things in perspective. Your life may be dull, Luann.. but there are lots of people, worse off than you, who would love that dull life.
So Luann… maybe try to date some guys to spice things up a bit?
I think she just insulted Mrs Horner. Well, only YOU are in charge of your life. It’s up to you to have a more interesting life, Luann. Never mind. I was reminded that you are NOT in charge of your life. People named Greg and Karen are.
Tell you what, Luann—how about varying your schedule? Like, finish your homework BEFORE dinner and then relaxing with Bernice until bedtime? That will relax your brain and you’ll sleep better.
When did Mrs. Horner blow out both kidneys? That’s kind of a major development to just drop in casual conversation.
And for someone who never seems to do anything (or that we never see her do) Luann has quite a busy life. Too busy to be wandering around as a “blank slate.”
Hey guys, since when does Luanne need a boyfriend to have an interesting, fulfilling life? Isn’t that what the sixties were about? She needs an interest, something she loves to do, something she could get good at and even earn a living at, without needing a boyfriend to do it. THEN she’ll be a guy-magnet!
About 18 years ago, a long time friend of ours learned her kidneys were down to working less than 10%. She was on ‘peritoneal dialysis’ for 15 or 16 years. Every night she would connect herself to a machine that would flood her peritoneal area with a large amount of fluid while she slept, and it would remain in her all night until early morning when th machine would drain the fluid and all the waste or whatever it was that was absorbed out of her system and into a small line that went into a drain over in her bathroom. During th last few years of her life, she couldnt do that type of dialysis any more an had to go to a dialysis center ever few days for the regular type ‘hemodialysis’. Back in June, she decided she didnt want to live like that any more, and just stopped eating and drinking anything. We miss her in our lives.. we’d known her since 1982

^^Remember kids – don’t put value on your life based upon having to have someone else put it on there for you like this clown above me thinks.^^

”Woke up, fell out bed, dragged a comb across my head.”
”Found my way downstairs a drank a cup,”
”And looking up, I noticed I was Late,”
(Bass Riff)
”Found my coat and grabbed my hat, made the bus in seconds flat.”
”Found my way upstairs, but I have no bloke.”
”Nobody spoke and I really wanna SCREAM!”(Ahhhhhhhhhh-Ah Ah, Ahhhhhhhhhh!) – “Day in the Life” – Sgt. Pepper- The Beatles
Maybe you should put your life to music, Lu.
These four guys from Liverpool once did, Sorta.
And made a Legendary cut on a Legendary album. ;-)

You remind me I live in a shell
Safe from the past and doing okay
But not very well
No jolts no surprises no crisis arises
My life goes along as it should
It’s all very nice but not very good…
And I’m ready to take a chance again

Guess a dull life is better than no life at all.
