the TBAGGER’s 11th commandment: you shall worship, remain loyal to, and defend the MAGA-lomaniac insecure man child pervert CHEETOhead-in-chief, regardless of what criminally traitorous thing he does.
Aren’t the first three or four for people in government? You know the ones. Their names are synonymous with greatness, it is always their day, none are above them and all that sort of thing.
I believe that is why some folks want to get rid of the Constitution and get back to a more traditional sort of governmental absolute authority.
For many politicians (and others), the blank tablet is like a white board: write what you think, wipe that, then write what the party told you to think.
Career politician? Yes, that best describes Karen Handel here in Georgia. Oh, and what do I mean by that? Today’s a special run-off election in the 6th district [Atlanta] is being held today to determine the member of the United States House of Representatives for Georgia’s 6th congressional district. Republican Incumbent Tom Price has resigned from the seat following his appointment and confirmation as the United States Secretary of Health and Human Services in the Trump Administration. A primary election occurred on April 18th between Jon Ossoff [Democratic] and Karen Handel [Republican], now there’s a runoff to decide who will take that position. I’m hoping that it’s Jon Ossoff who’ll win and NOT money grubbing Karen Handel! More after after you response.
I normally like to bash Trump as much as the next guy and he deserves it, but remember “basket of deplorables” Hillary? The, “there is one set of rules for ‘We the people’ and another set of rules for ‘We the elite’” attitude is one of the things that is truly non-partisan.
“All hear me, all pay heed! The Lord, the Lord Jehovah, has given onto you these 15…”drops and breaks tablet“Oy…Ten! Ten Commandments for all to obey!”
11th Commandment specially for politicians (it was voted down in an Electoral College) :
“Thou shall not suppress the votes of your honest citizens with silly laws, nor rig the elections by creating unholy district boundaries, nor turn My people away from the Truth by creating Alternative Facts.”
I think Wiley is pointing out ( in a nonpartisan way ) that anyone aspiring to be a Career Politician has abandoned practicing the Ten Commandments, long ago.
They are the equivalent of a ethical blank slate, devoid of moral direction.
Perhaps the highest violation of The Ten Commandments rule is number #10 and that’s Thou shalt not commit adultery, which is why me or my cousin are not married. Most of the adulteries are committed by men which brings shame upon the almighty himself. Doesn’t matter if they are straight marriages, mixed marriages, gay marriages, trans-gender, what have you! Because once you’re married, you must go by the wedding vows you made before you, your partner and of course, God. Well when you break those vows, you break the heart of your partner, your family, your friends and shamed the love of God. And sadly, most of the adulterers are: celebrities, politicians, journalists and yes, religious leaders (preachers).
Always remember, your great-grandparents fought and sweated and worked and died so you could sit there and pretend to be morally superior to people you don’t even know.

@cerbooge: aren’t those four the ones our fearless leader has hanging up behind his desk? With #1 and #2 in bold print?

Keep an eye on Adam Schiff. He’s been in politics for a long time, but strives mightily to be honest. Don’t see that very often.
