Draw diagonal lines from corners to corners and the X in the very center of the bed – that is where they prefer to be. I swear they know that spot within a fraction of an inch.
We had a brother and sister cat and they seemed to have some system whereby one would sleep with us one night and then the other got a turn. However if we went away on holidays and finally came back, for a week or so, all bets were off and they just decided to share. They really missed us. It was kind of sweet, although we felt pinned to the bed. LOL
