Pepperoni is the one thing I have to have on pizza, and anchovy makes a good addition. If someone else has bought a pineapple pizza, I’m willing to try a slice, or part of a slice, out of sheer curiosity. But I don’t know that sort of person, and I’m certainly not going to buy one myself.

My ex craved pineapple on pizza when she was pregnant with our first child. I tried it once….and only once. Good for Pig.

It took me awhile to try pineapple on pizza, but now I love it. Even my son, who is a notoriously picky eater, will eat a Hawaiian pizza.

Real Hawaiian pizza would have Spam on it.

The problem isn’t pineapple on pizza, but the combination of pineapple and a tomato based sauce. Hence why I prefer pineapple on a cream cheese based pizza.

I’ve threatened divorce over that very thing. Hubby’s been ordering pineapple pizza more often after the threat. I think he’s hinting me.

I used to like pineapple and black olives. I’ve known loads who liked pineapple but not with ham. Bit of a jump!

But I totally get why people would dislike pineapple on pizza!

OK, while agree about pineapple on pizza, I do think everyone should be allowed to have what they want on their pizza. No one said YOU had to eat the pineapple pizza, pig. Let her get a small pizza with what she wants and you get one with what you want. Or go half and half.

My wife likes pineapple on her pizza. We’ve agreed to stay on each of our side of the pie. A rogue piece of pineapple will sometimes stray on to my side and if I don’t see it, I definitely discover it when I eat it. Yuck!

I lived in Hawaii, in mix race neighborhood for 40 years. WHO in the danged world decided that a pizza with pineapple and CANADIAN bacon was “Hawaiian”?? Put pineapple on anything and suddenly that “anything” becomes “Hawaiian”.Iʻll stick with kalua pig, poi and coconut. Pineapples were brought to Hawaii as a cash crop by greedy white guys. Nothing to do with Hawaii. NOW the pineapple you buy in the store is probably grown in Belize! Belize, BTW, is now growing Hawaiian bred Sunrise and Sunset Solo Papaya and labeling them as Hawaiian Papaya, with a tiny little sticker that identifies it as “Grown in Belize”. Suup wid dat??? Aloha a hui hou!

For once, my buddy Pig has a handle on the relationship. I’ve had breakups over much more trivial issues than this. Pineapple on pizza is so horrible and wrong that I’m surprised there’s not a Geneva convention prohibiting it.

The problem is easily solved by putting jalapenos on the pizza along with the pineapple. Voila! Nectar of the gods.

I’m with Pig here. Well, it’s not that I don’t like the idea of pineapples on a pizza, I just don’t like pineapples.

Pineapple is good with ham, on pizza or not. It’s best uncooked, though.

Hawaiian pizza is probably my favorite. My local pizza place, which is pretty darn tasty, makes a tasty one, too.

Of all the things that people bewilderingly make into personal issues, one of the hardest to understand is food hate. If I don’t like something but someone else IS going to eat it, doesn’t that leave more of what I like for myself?

What I don’t understand is this. Isn’t true Hawaiian style pineapple and Spam? Pineapple is HARDLY the worst ingredient between those two…..
