Everyone is open minded inside their little bubble.

I have a button that reads, “Minds Are Like Parachutes – They Only Function When Open.”

4 panels, pretty much identical except for the amount of white/black in Rat’s nose.

There IS a difference between an open mind and a hole in the head. Though with some folks the distinction isn’t entirely obvious.

If someone presents arguments that you’ve heard before and you don’t change your mind, they accuse you of being close-minded. If that argument didn’t change your mind a week ago, why would it now?

Luckily, I am always right, therefore other peoples’ arguments are moot.

Rat is as open minded as the eye of a needle.

Rat is truly open minded. For there be nothing valuable inside there that he needs to keep locked.

Another way of putting it: he’s SHOOTING BLANKS from both ends, above and below!!!!

This applies to many of the commentors on here, both ideologies are guilty

Too open a mind and your brain falls out.

Open mind is good as long as intelligence and common sense are applied as well!

As a scientist you have to balance open-mindedness with skepticism. You have to be willing to listen to new ideas but not be persuaded by every crackpot who comes along.

Rat is open to anything that centers around him and makes him out to be an almighty rodent being.

Just because you have a hole in your head doesn’t mean you’re not open minded.

Not being closeD-minded to the humor here, but…

I think we all are open-minded towards people with whom we agree.

However, with whom we disagree, many of us our closed-minded, sadly.

If you say Peg A can fit into Slot B and it’s proven but someone says to cut off Peg A to appease them doesn’t make you closed minded when the answer is right there in black and white.

Whatever your life’s philosophy, always leave room for, “Maybe I’m wrong and everyone else is right.”

I believe facts that come with empirical and/or scientific evidence. I’m open to the possibility that claims that are neither proven nor refuted scientifically and/or empirically might or might not be true.

Rat misses the point. Again.

In truth, Rat’s Reality is not so different from that of many folks….

Geez, folks, after all these years, don’t you get Pastis? The art is incidental to the message.

There are two kinds of people in the world: those who agree with me and those who don’t.

Open-minded doesn’t mean you have to agree. Only that you listen and perhaps communicate.
