I’ve heard about that, but how do you know what the person behind you will order? If you just leave some money, that could be too much or not enough (I do not go to places where people order drinks at a counter to take away, so I wouldn’t know).
That’s easy. I typically hold the door open for whoever is behind me when entering a public building such as a library and pick up random bits of liter, putting it in the trash receptacle. If we all did one nice thing a day, imagine how much better the world would be.
LOL :) Gotta ❤️ Rat. He’s a real Count kinda guy. And an esp great idea to stand behind Pig now because Pumpkin Spice Lattes are back (woo hoo!) and they ain’t cheap.
A few years ago on Christmas, someone stopped at the local Starbucks and gave them $500 to use on people who showed up for coffee and food. They were instructed to challenge the individuals who benefited from the benevolence to do 30 nice things in the next 30 days. I accepted the challenge. The local paper was going to print a story but Starbucks said the corporate wouldn’t give permission to run the article. Anyway, I still enjoyed it.

the person in line behind you can afford it. how about tipping your servers a little more instead, since they’re the ones likely paycheck-to-paycheck.

Leave it to Rat to figure out how to take advantage of a situation.

Is it concerning that I believe the term “nice” is becoming relative?
Like, what is “nice” to a given person?

Rat just loves to mooch off of everyone. It’s a miracle Pig hasn’t stood up to him or kicked him out.

Some people can do that by not telling you what they’re really thinking.
