It sort of makes you afraid to head towards the night light.

Looks more like an inkblot. If this were a Pearls Before Swine comic, it would have ended with Rat complaining that Pastis spilled ink on the second panel.

Another way Opal could have gone: “What’s what?”

(Perhaps she doesn’t know about gaslighting?)

Happened here a couple of days ago, when we were both in the bathrooms. Shaving in profound darkness? Not thing. Well, not a GOOD thing. Also detached ears? Same.

Here in Wake Forest NC, the electricity several times a year will drop just long enough to have to reset clocks. The major cause is squirrels getting electrocuted on top of the electric poles.

Those CFC lights were the worst for making you think you were going blind because they would be dim for a few seconds after turning on.

Oh we’ve had that to happen, I really dislike means resetting clocks. For a second I thought Opal had a big idea. This is not about the strip.I have written here a fall I had on my hard left side on asphalt on my left side mid May. Been a real struggle, then I found out fracture on my lower femur, finally I never thought the day get here, Tuesday 12th I go for 2nd x-ray to see if that fracture of the femur is healed, if yes I will be so happy, yet my bone is very sore, my leg muscle is bad with my knee. I go to Advanced Orthopedic, I plan to schedule home health care. I never had a cast or surgery nor was I in a care facility, I was at home, a bi-level with 8 steps. I have missed out on so much for 2 months, as seems I have to start over. Please if any of went through this I be interested what you went through. My hip socket was not injured yet bruised.

If the light goes out poor Earl can’t read his newspaper. He’s one of the last who reads them.

This happened a couple of nights ago in our apartment. It was a little more than a flicker — all the power went out for a second, and yes, we had to reset the clocks and reboot the computers. It’s a rare occurrence, more likely to take place in stormy weather, and it was a very clear night.

What made it a little eerie was that we were catching on up on the last couple of episodes of the TV series This is Us. We were already very focused on the compelling drama on the screen — then the power outage occurred just as Rebecca was about to pass on.
