I can’t believe I actually knew that.

Google says it’s ‘Montevideo’, but don’t ask me to pronounce it…

I knew that without using Google. Blame my older brother when we were 7 and 5 and he wanted to memorize all the capitals of the world and he recited them to me over and over. :D :D :D

Forgetting facts is better than admitting ignorance.

Well that was a weird wormhole. Montevideo (not THAT one) is also a town of a little over 5,000 in western Minnesota. They became ‘sister cities’ way back in 1905, when the mayors corresponded, and exchanged national flags.

Montevideo (the one in Minnesota) was also the home of Windom College, which was named for William Windom (not THAT one).
