I tend to fall asleep while reading. Waking up by falling out of a tree is not something I’d have fun experiencing. I’m not sure I’d build a reading nest high in a tree unless I could temporarily turn off gravity around the tree!
Edgar Rice Burroughs was able to convince me that the notch between tree branches is a comfortable place to rest and fall asleep in, but nobody else ever will.

I guess that she is branching out to new literary horizons.

What is this “reading” of which you speak?

Reading takes you on exciting adventures you might otherwise never have.

Of course you like reading. You are commenting on something you read here aren’t you?

No doubt our earliest ancestors did the same thing. Nice safe haven.

I can’t believe she climbed the tree barefooted.

Did that when I was about 12. I spent hours at the top of that apple tree.

A reading nest is one of my favorite summer reading things. Usually in our swing out back where the flowers bloom and the hummingbirds roam.

Mine was a fig tree. Food for the mind and fruit for the body at the same time. The good old time.
