I’ve given up on closed doors in my house

I have a loft, so the only inside doors are the bathrooms. My cat follows me around whenever I’m doing something, but if I sit still, she may or may not be close/on top of me.

Just as long as she can see where I am, we can be as far away as the space permits.

Cats need to protect you. They can’t do that, if they can’t see you.

It’s not that your cat wants or needs anything specific. She’s just reminding you that you are her obedient servant.

Meatloafing on the rug is reason enough to come in.

Hey, at least the cat had the courtesy to go through the door…

They really just wanted it open. Going through it was a compromise, just to make you happy.

If the cat is outside she wants inside. If the cat is inside she wants outside. If you leave the door open she will sleep on the couch.

Just loafing.

“Why, I need to loaf, of course.”

“Now I must stare intently at what appears to be nothing in that corner until I move into that sunbeam.”

With this heat, I don’t blame him.

This is one major reason my current cats are indoor cats.

It’s been nice having resided in non city homes so I could allow my cat outside. My FBI banner is (my late lamented) Boo waiting for me up in the roof gutters, having jumped up to the roof from an adjoining tree.

What!? A cat that actually comes in when you open the door, or out?! What kind of sorcery is this?!!!

At least the cat came in and didn’t just wander off when the door was opened.
