Looking back – Salem, Olwen, Winnie, Pepper, and Pilot went to rescue Vesper, Wigglesworth, and Ivan?
I readily see: Olwen, Winnie, and Pepper. A buff guy (Pilot minus the glasses?), a “blind” person (Ivan? tortured?) and two critters. Even if the critters are transformed — we’re one short — unless I’m confused with who went.
Regardless – can’t wait to have things more sorted out.
OK, this raises more questions than it answers right at this minute!
Lots of possibilities here: The large eyed creature on Winnie’s back could be either Clover (my guess) transformed, or Wigglesworth transformed. The tall guy at the front with the sword could be Pilot all grown up, and the blind person next to him could be Ivan. Or, the tall guy is Ivan come good, and the blind person is Pilot. Another possibility is the tall guy is Wigglesworth transformed, the blind person could be Clover transformed due to loss of magic. The creature on Winnie’s back could just be a creature they found during their travels, and they haven’t found Ivan.
The next few instalments in this story are going to be worth waiting for! :-)

Woah, some time has elapsed for so many changes! My guess is that they acquired some new friends and that Vesper and Wigglesworth stayed in the other world. Ok so we settle down for some serious story telling!
Ok, the story just took a dramatic twist. Does time flow differently in the other dimension? I can’t wait to find out who is who…and what happened to those that didn’t return. I assume Hester and Morbis are going to be furious with Olwen.
I think we all agree that Olwen will have an incredible story to tell. The only ones somehow unchanged are Olwen herself, Pepper the Fox, and Winnie. Lots of guesses as to the other 4, two apparently human and two other critters. But that is only 7 and 8 were either captured, Vesper, Wiggie, and Ivan, or were part of the rescue posse, Olwen, Winnie, Clover, Pepper and Pilot. So no matter how we mix and match, one is still missing.
At this point I am inclined to think that Ivan is the missing character. He was grabbed first before the fight when Wiggie was stabbed and captured with Vesper. Then came the attack by Winnie on several of the ice guys. So even if Ivan was eventually dumped into the fire world as described by the ice guy to the itty bitty Nazi, he could have been far separated from Wiggie and Vesper.
We are also completely uninformed about the physics of either demon realm or how time works in those dimensions. So let’s all settle down and prepare to be entertained and fascinated by the tale yet to be disclosed. I can hardly wait!
Where’s Clover? And what are those two creatures up there with Olwen and Pepper? I’m assuming Ivan’s the blindfolded one and Pilot is the one with the walking stick.
I am guessing due to time difference and the fact that she was old already, Olwen did not return and the white haired one on Winnie talking is Clover. Vesper is blinded and since the one with the sword doesn’t have a white streak, he is Pilot. Thus the missing ones would be Ivan and Wigglesworth.
The “How long has it been” speech bubble seems to be coming from behind Olwen. Maybe Clover is clinging onto the spikes in Olwen’s back and we just can’t see her.
I can imagine the “loose hair look” on the blindfolded person’s right side being suggestive of Ivan’s white streak. It would be fun if Pilot came back all buff and heroic from death defying situations. We all know Ivan deserves whatever happens to him but wouldn’t wish clawed eyes on anyone. It would be a hard lesson in humility.
