MacBeth was High King of Scotland from 1040 to 1057. In 1050, he went on a pilgrimage to Rome and is described as having “scattered coins like seed to the poor”. The fact that he was able to leave Scotland and go to Rome is sometimes cited among the evidence that he was a very popular High King and not the tyrant that he was later portrayed as being.

Mountains and snow in Florida?

Badly timed; Biden’s been president for about a week, and he definitely hasn’t been on vacation, plus it can be argued that he has taken steps to improve the efficiency of government.

I wish Nancy, Chuckie and the gang would take the hint……

Works in a lot of businesses also. Have often noticed when certain people in management go on vacation that things run better, until they get back.

Sure wouLtd like to send our senate and Congress on a permanent ski trip and get new ones.

Ahh, the slopes of Zakopane are as fresh in my memory as Ivan Putski…. and the armed Russian soldiers at the airport were really cute and polite to my fellow travelers!
