Here in Savannah, Georgia. Staying on Tybee Island. It is a tourist trap. Spent $120 on hamburgers and fries for my wife and three boys. The beachside restaurant wanted no less than a 25% tip. Went to McDonalds, for dinner. Big Mac meals were $18 each and the window lady got angry because I didn’t give her a tip. It’s $8 parking, where ever you go, but I paid Enterprise for a car here, while back home. Price of gas is about the same, and no ethanol in silver. Other tourists are nice, condo is great and Walmart was the same price as at home. Just not going to eat out as much. Saw sunrise on beach at 6:19 am, this morning and I wish I could post the video. It was worth the money.
Janis is finally experienced (not OLD) enough to see herself from time to time. That is why Arlo is smiling. He really does not like fish tacos but knows she does. He has given an her an ‘out’ from going overboard with the house hunting. This how marriage should be. Putting Thee before me.
When visiting an area of interest, going to the local eateries can be a good way to gather intelligence. Just listen to what people are talking about, notices posted on the bulletin board, etc. If the place isn’t busy, the staff will often be happy to talk about what they like and don’t like about local issues. Most of the time, we end up saying, wow, this place is just like home, so what’s the point in moving? But we always pick up some new perspectives about the place…and sometimes realize again that home isn’t so bad.
You know, I’ve never looked too closely at how their faces are drawn, but today I noticed that Arlo’s is fairly normal whereas Janis’s jaw line is weird. In the last panel, she almost looks like a dog.

Janis is baiting the gifted trap, after a momentary mental lapse, as she realizes what it would take to make a partner more agreeable.

You can have the nicest house in the world, but if you don’t like the area it’ll never be a home. Explore first, buy later.

Why does GoComics now have a 2 inch blank space at the top making you have to scroll down?
See this on computer, don’t know if you see it on a phone.

The last “fish taco” I had was a fishstick in a tortilla with some unripe tomatoes. I don’t plan on trying that place again.

I’ve made two house-hunting trips to CO since last fall. There will be more to come, but hopefully not too many.
