No more leftovers?

How old is that chili?

Be grateful it’s gone, Arlo ;)

Just finished the chili – put it in cabbage rolls! With some rice.

Had beef chili last night with Ranch Doritos. Was pretty good.

Who is the “everyone” Arlo is referring to? I don’t think the cat should be considered when Arlo uses the word “everyone”.

We are going to a holiday party with a homebrewing club and there will be more turkey.

Time to boil the turkey bones for soup!

That is Turkey Chili. Sometimes leftovers are in disguise.

What would the comics do without leftovers? Double up on the raking leaves jokes?

we eat the leftovers till its gone or gone bad .

Now I love a nicely cooked turkey, and I can make some darned good, stand as a meal on it’s own stuffing. But after a week of that, you need to move on friends! It’s going bad in the fridge if it hasn’t already! AND, if that’s ALL you’ve been eating for the last week, I’ll wager that left over Chili is on it’s way to becoming a science fair exhibit as well! LOL!

Lots of turkey went in the freezer. Lasts for 2 more months.

My heart bleeds…

You snooze….you lose………always happens!

The turkey carcass and any bones get turned into stock. All the remaining turkey, gravy and stuffing get turned into soup, which we portion out and freeze. We’ll be eating it until spring.

I’m often a little sad when there is no more left over stuffing to make a meal of.

I have intentionally gotten smaller birds (11-12 lbs) for many years, minimizing the leftovers.

In my experience the leftovers don’t keep very well & I hate to waste food, so…

Turkey Pot Pie always marks the end of the Thanksgiving season.

Turkey chili is not one of my favorites!

I think we had more Thanksgiving leftover toons than we actually had Thanksgiving! ;)

Remember the scene from The Odd Couple where they are having the weekly poker game at Oscar’s apartment. He says “What do you guys want to eat?”“What have you got?”“I have green and brown.”“What’s the green?”“It’s either very new cheese or very old meat.”“I’ll take the brown.”

Love leftovers of the good stuff….

That’s what my husband would’ve said – he would have eaten turkey and stuffing every week if he could have.

Chili is always better the next day.
