Spiders set their webs due to the breeze. A good healthy breeze that is full of air traffic of yummy food – you would want to catch as much as you can. Too much wind and you catch what you can… but with a smaller web. He just got a lucky spot! :)

He may be. But I’ll wager he’ll be eating better than YOU two!

And doing it well.

Two things, male spiders are generally: 1. smaller than the females, 2. don’t make webs.

Although most male spiders are capable of spinning webs, most webs are spun by females.

He’s investing in real estate.

With great power comes great websponsibilitiy.

He’s a professional web developer. He got a bigger website.

Go big to go home!

We have webs in our yard sometimes that are about 20 feet across.

It’s going smooth as silk!

Had a garden spider once who covered half a “wall” of my screen room with its web. Hooked it to the hedge. It was amazing. . .they’re a lot bigger than you’d think from photos and their legs are very long and fragile looking. Was there for days. . .

… and he made it out of honey!

Just goes to prove size is no predictor of ability.

He made the most of his environment.

Eh, maybe he’s got some Conventions booked… ☺
