That’s it. I want Puck with me during my life crises.

And Mow Mow Cat (aka mom cat) is there.

Puck is such a good listener.

I’m trying to figure dog bit.

Since the Toddler isn’t in a throw-down tantrum, I’d say Puck’s listening skills are helping a lot.

I am rather lacking in People-kittens, so unfortunately I don’t speak Toddler.

“Pengo broke, mow mow cat..” That is just insanely cute and, sadly, actually makes more sense than a lot of tweets coming out of that big white house on Pennsylvania Ave… :-p

“This Email came in a couple of days ago, and it shows their Grand Opening night as next Friday. Hector, I don’t think it would be a good idea to throw a mouse into this particular mix, so Tre-C and I will go to their opening. Just to see…” “Yeah, I think it’d be a little like that ‘Christians/Lions’ thing you once told me about. I’ll be happy to wait for your report on this one”. Megan laughed; “OK, then- let’s hit the sacks. Tomorrow will be a whole new day, and Friday… well, I’m not going to make any presumptions, but it’ll be entertaining if nothing else.”

How powerful this is. My tears welled up even as I was laughing. Who has not, even as an adult, suffered a loss that seems it may go on forever?

I think the toddler just doesn’t have enough words yet to explain how he feels or what happens, so he’s throwing out all the words he knows. Fortunately, Puck is a good listener who understands the emotions and provides comfort.

The syntax may be a little unconventional, but I get most of this. Still trying to figure out “pop pop” though.

I love the way Georgia draws the kids – they are real people with distinct features and emotions. You can see the pain and concern and worry in panel three. I think the pop, pop is the sound of Pengo bumping around in the dryer, too.

I know this is a happy strip (in spite of Elvis’ best efforts) and so all will be well in the end, but I’m finding the tension hard to bear.

Hello all!! My thought is that Pengo got dirty when a dog picked up Pengo like a dog toy – “No dog. MY Pengo.”

I agree that the “Pop pop” might be the sounds of Pengo in dryer. But, maybe – “Pengo broke, Mow Mow cat.” If Pengo “popped” a seam, or just had a hole with stuffing coming out, when Pengo was retrieved from the dog, what the toddler says would describe it perfectly. Dog took Pengo like a doggie toy. “NO NO Dog! MY Pengo!”. Got Pengo back wounded, so Georgia stitched up Pengo, then it was time for a bath. (Can’t wash first THEN stitch, all the stuffing would come out in the process!)

This is so sweet. Puck with his paw on the Toddler’s shoulder and the Toddler telling his troubles to Puck.

The Toddler has a kindred spirit in my Woman. She occasionally refers to Ember as “Meow Meow” as well, which started because Ember basically didn’t make a sound for about the first month and a half after she came to live with us, and then she went through a period where she talked constantly to make up for lost time. She didn’t respond to “Ember” for a while, either, but did pay attention when Stacy impulsively called her “Meow Meow” during her talkative phase … so that’s, for lack of a better term, her pet name for Ember now.

Mind-bending Pengo withdrawal?

We had a summer camp, and a small motor boat. One day the boat sprang a leak and sank in about 3’ of water. My toddler niece came up to her dad (my brother) and informed him “boat broke”. Never will forget her spot-on and informative words.

Puck the cure for what ails ya!

I just realized something. I talk just like the toddler and Giblet the Cat listens just like Pucky…after I have had my Martini on Friday evenings.

Was that a blues-y sax I heard in the last panel??

I think I found the book I mentioned in a post yesterday! I am pretty sure the book is “Uncle Whiskers” (which was published in 1974).
