Coming Soon đ At the beginning of April, youâll be
introduced to a brand-new GoComics! See more information here. Subscribers, check your
email for more details.
âPengo broke, mow mow cat..â That is just insanely cute and, sadly, actually makes more sense than a lot of tweets coming out of that big white house on Pennsylvania Ave⊠:-p
âThis Email came in a couple of days ago, and it shows their Grand Opening night as next Friday. Hector, I donât think it would be a good idea to throw a mouse into this particular mix, so Tre-C and I will go to their opening. Just to seeâŠâ âYeah, I think itâd be a little like that âChristians/Lionsâ thing you once told me about. Iâll be happy to wait for your report on this oneâ. Megan laughed; âOK, then- letâs hit the sacks. Tomorrow will be a whole new day, and Friday⊠well, Iâm not going to make any presumptions, but itâll be entertaining if nothing else.â
Warm Mewsday greetings, beloved Orb Leader & loyal orbsters! Loving boops & Pucky purrs (the most powerful I can imagine) to our grieving, ill, worried, anticipating, dreading, and worn out orbsters & their personal orbs. May the peace & love generated within the fellowship help pull you through. Weâre here! Hearts wide open! â„â„â„
I think the toddler just doesnât have enough words yet to explain how he feels or what happens, so heâs throwing out all the words he knows. Fortunately, Puck is a good listener who understands the emotions and provides comfort.
I love the way Georgia draws the kids â they are real people with distinct features and emotions. You can see the pain and concern and worry in panel three. I think the pop, pop is the sound of Pengo bumping around in the dryer, too.
Hello all!! My thought is that Pengo got dirty when a dog picked up Pengo like a dog toy â âNo dog. MY Pengo.â
I agree that the âPop popâ might be the sounds of Pengo in dryer. But, maybe â âPengo broke, Mow Mow cat.â If Pengo âpoppedâ a seam, or just had a hole with stuffing coming out, when Pengo was retrieved from the dog, what the toddler says would describe it perfectly. Dog took Pengo like a doggie toy. âNO NO Dog! MY Pengo!â. Got Pengo back wounded, so Georgia stitched up Pengo, then it was time for a bath. (Canât wash first THEN stitch, all the stuffing would come out in the process!)
The Toddler has a kindred spirit in my Woman. She occasionally refers to Ember as âMeow Meowâ as well, which started because Ember basically didnât make a sound for about the first month and a half after she came to live with us, and then she went through a period where she talked constantly to make up for lost time. She didnât respond to âEmberâ for a while, either, but did pay attention when Stacy impulsively called her âMeow Meowâ during her talkative phase ⊠so thatâs, for lack of a better term, her pet name for Ember now.
ATTN BCN FANS IN CANADA: If anyone wants the newest Go Comics BCN Pin collection while theyâre still available, Iâd be happy to post a set to you when Iâm in Alberta â have work trips scheduled in Oct. & Nov. Click on my avatar for contact info & Iâll provide details.
We had a summer camp, and a small motor boat. One day the boat sprang a leak and sank in about 3â of water. My toddler niece came up to her dad (my brother) and informed him âboat brokeâ. Never will forget her spot-on and informative words.
I think I found the book I mentioned in a post yesterday! I am pretty sure the book is âUncle Whiskersâ (which was published in 1974). I have now ordered a copy (I ordered the cheapest of the used paperback copies as that is all I can afford right now). If anyone else is interested, here is a link to the listing on Amazon:

Youâre a great friend, Puck.

Since the Toddler isnât in a throw-down tantrum, Iâd say Puckâs listening skills are helping a lot.

How powerful this is. My tears welled up even as I was laughing. Who has not, even as an adult, suffered a loss that seems it may go on forever?

The syntax may be a little unconventional, but I get most of this. Still trying to figure out âpop popâ though.

I know this is a happy strip (in spite of Elvisâ best efforts) and so all will be well in the end, but Iâm finding the tension hard to bear.

This is so sweet. Puck with his paw on the Toddlerâs shoulder and the Toddler telling his troubles to Puck.

Let it all out Toddler, the catharsis will do you good! Especially with Puck there to help you!
Makes me think of the Tears for Fears (and the Disturbed remake) song Shout. shout, shout, let it all out, these are the things I can do without.
