If it’s that bright outside, they should be wearing tinted snow goggles like the ones Tommy and his woman wore a year ago today when they came to help “save a cat.”
Georgia posted a new photo showing the reporters covering the 4 corners of…the bed! For once, Elvis seems to be the invisible one. Also an announcement by Georgia of an appearance at Emerald City ComicCon.
My beloved, in his infinite wisdom, decided the apartment was too warm yesterday. He turned the fireplace off (thank heavens, he left the pilot light on), and turned the blower off. I found the apartment a bit chilly this morning, but now the fireplace will not come on. I’m babysitting today, so he will have to cope with it.
Georgia posted this yesterday, "Today is my syndicate’s 50th anniversary! These amazing folks bring Doonesbury, Calvin & Hobbes, Garfield, Peanuts, The Far Side, FoxTrot, Phoebe and Her Unicorn, Wallace the Brave, Breaking Cat News (hi!) and many others to your funny pages every day!
They are a joy to work with and made it possible for BCN to have books and be in newspapers and have a cartoonist who makes her living doing this full-time and didn’t have to go back to working at a bank! YAY!!!!!!! Haha! I owe so much of our success to these awesome people, and so much of my happiness growing up; regularly getting lost in Calvin & Hobbes, Garfield, and Far Side collections as a kid and beyond! I still cannot believe my luck or my life that I work with them now!
A big, BIG thank you and congratulations to them!!! Here’s to fifty more and many more after that!"
Nature Documentary Narrator Voice: The Man and Woman perform a bonding ritual to clear a path to their burrow. The Man hopes to impress the Woman that she will allow for a different bonding ritual that night.
Also I live in boulder (north and closer to the mountains than Denver) and it has been snowing on and off all week. It´s not as bad as the snow we had here during thanksgiving break. with that one the snow/Ice was still around until late December!
OT: it’s closing day! Soon Maverick and Ember will have new territory to explore … and guard.
Also, if I may, a moment of quiet remembrance for Miss Emily, who owned the house prior to her passing back in September. It seems that she used a wheelchair for the latter portion of her life, prompting her family to buy several metal ramps that were placed at the entrance doors for her use. We didn’t know about them until yesterday’s final walkthrough, when we discovered that her family (without us asking) left them with the house for the Woman to use.
Did you know tha Snowy Owls hunt by flying silently above the snow and listening for mice or lemmings under the snow? When the owl here’s one, it dived through the snow pack and catches it.
Cocooned and layered for now … this family grouping trudges on … to survive the bitterness that is the Great White Wild!!! … With even a chance for some of them to go and play!! :)

I note that The Woman hisses like a vampire as the light strikes her. She knows that in full sunlight she’s doomed.

It´s VOID not snow. the only reason why the peoples brains are not exploding is due to their void-proof clothing.

We’re having a “winter storm” in northeastern Germany. No snow in sight. About 45F but pretty windy.

Been there, done that. Many years ago. The cat, after plunging into the snow far, far deeper than he imagined became very… confused.

Happy Extraterrestrial Culture Day! Learn to appreciate Klingon opera … wait, is there any other kind?
Or you could listen to Elvis Presley recordings. Remember, he’s not dead, he just went home.
And remember, folks, extraterrestrials are our friends. They just want to serve mankind …
