I don’t have to come back? Finally, a flight that’s worth the money!

Give Biden and blue state politicians complimentary tickets, yadda yadda yadda. Can’t you people think of something more creative?

I’m considering the flight plan for a one-way trip to Mars, but a safe landing is a priority. No Seven Minutes of Terror! I’d like to land with me and all of the crew and cargo intact.

It’s easy to put a man into space… Getting him back alive and in one piece is what costs the $.

Right now, back is a certainty. The flights are simple suborbital, “what goes up must come down” flights.

They are pretty much only repeating America’s first space flight (suborbital) in 1961, when Alan Shepard flew in the Mercury capsule “Freedom 7”, and they think it’s a big deal.

I am SO tired of readers throwing in political statements that have nothing to do with the cartoon. Please take your political comments elsewhere.

Actually when I think of commercial space flights, I think of the scenes in the movie 2001, where it appears that Pan Am with their obligatory stewardesses (talk about a name from the past) was ferrying passengers to a space station and beyond.

Reminds me of the trolley ride between Yakima and Selah. They check your ticket on the bridge over a rushing river. This may be to give people something to look at, but it appears they do it so they can throw you off the train here.

I think launching billionaires into space is a fine idea.

Is the expense of re-entry and landing the same as the expense of launch?

Back isn’t all that hard. Just send them down into the upper atmosphere and atmospheric drag will slow them down and bring them in…and make a lovely meteor while doing so!!
