OK, I’m surprised!

If I were Silver, I’d me more afraid of the look on Sprocket’s face than drowning!

Apparently, Silver’s been hitting his sister more than the once.

Okay, now this story REALLY has my attention!

No seatbelts.

Now we understand why we kept seeing her black eye and angry face. Still, I didn’t expect this!

I keep hearing a rumor we’ll be seeing Mysta again soon. And now I see Willy007’s profile pic. Maybe that’s what they meant? hehe

Is Lena getting hungry again yet? I think she has a captive audience or meal.

Yikes, I had forgotten Lena’s in the back. Doesn’t look like she’s going to escape, either.

I’m a little surprised, but only a little. It was already ambiguous from the panel when they were underwater whether they were conscious, unconscious, or dead. It always appeared to me that the water was outside the car, but even if the car is watertight, they’re going to run out of air at some point, unless the car is able to get them out of there, which I have my doubts about.

They could open the windows (assuming the windows are openable) and swim to the surface, but it could be very hard finding the hole in the ice.

WOW, I had no idea! HA the plot thickens …………………. so what’s next? I hope that she & the pet get out okay and I hope HE goes to the chair.

Silver could drown, and that would be alright. If a guy smacks a gal he should have to pay the price.

Ok, so does this mean it’s airtight? Then they’ll suffocate instead of drown. She really can’t be that stupid, can she? Kill HERSELF just to punish HIM….like, why doesn’t she just leave him? Heck, she looks like she could beat HIM up for that matter. Anyways, bet he sure WILL strike her again, for doing this….even make her Lena’s doggie treat…

I’m through with what if’s and predictions on this one. It’s time to just relax and enjoy the rest of the ride. (WOW, this is good stuff.)

We shall see what we shall see, BUT I suspect Sprocket is not the suicidal type. As I’ve said on previous days, I think she may have fratricide-&-escape on her mind…. We’ll see.

Apparently, she has a plan in her mind. It may or may not be suicide. We will see when we will see.

When one thinks of gadget-loaded cars, one does have to wonder about ejector seats :-). There might be more than one way out of this. I can’t see the strip doing a graphic murder-suicide, even for villains like these.

I think we have a 007 car/submarine option here…..

I still wonder what the point with the nitrous oxide was. They don’t seem to be laughing, exactly.

I think one of the special mods on the car is geared toward a water adventure

and somewhere out in tracyville a few things are happening A) Stiletta still has her contract on tracy B) mysta-stein is still supposed to be visited by honeymoon C) sparkle is still pregnant D) Blackjack is still running around free E) good ol’ fish and chips is still watching vitamin flintheart on stage and F) this story STILL is boring.. just kill ’em both and get it over with! HEY SWEATBOX… WE NEED YOU!!! lol :)

oh yeh, and i forgot that rikki mortis is still out there somewhere, as is abner kadaver, uncle ray is still hanging around, and bonnie braids has once again faded into the background!

Murder/suicide, wow. This has a Gouldish feel to it no doubt. It’s hard for me to feel too bad for these two. But still there’s a sense of shock that it ends like this. And that’s a good thing.

I’m glad to see the story didn’t just end yesterday!

I really like these two characters – they aren’t the tough, professionals we’re used to seeing (like B-B Eyes and Mumbles). Silver is a wannabe master criminal, and his sister seemed to be just following along. Only problem is, they don’t know what they’re doing.Have to admit, I’d like to see them come out alive. (If they do, Sprocket will definitely be in charge.)

You know what you did!.Coined the term, Sweatbox ending!.Heck, you even had morrow saying it yesterday!.But where I’m puzzled is, why is it, if a story doesn’t have a Sweatbox ending, you find it boring?.Of course, we could return to Moon Maid!.Myself, when I saw the Dukes of Hazard panel, Friday, I was afraid of just that: Another Sweatbox ending..I’m glad the story isn’t over just yet..We’re just now starting to learn about these two con artists.

Where’s Still Da Man! when you need him?.Perhaps if we tap the heels of our slippers together three times and say,.Pigs on wheels! Pigs on wheels! Pigs on wheels!.Hope you’re having a great time, wherever you are!.Hmm. Are you with Jimmy Durante’s Mrs. Kalabasus?

I think this will be murder-suicide. I think it’s obvious that Silver has been abusive to his sister in the past. Her statement “That you will never hit me again, brother”, tells me he’s a serial abuser, as well as a serial murderer. That hyena has been used more than once to dispose of human remains. Remember, Silver said Lena was a valuable member of the team.

Sprocket’s emphasis on “never” in the last panel suggests that she intends for Silver to die. But is there a way for her to get out alive while leaving Silver to his fate (possibly as Lena’s next meal)? Stay tuned!

Ya got to love Sprocket, one tough dame.

Can’t believe some people are whining about the “ending.”Remember, boys and girls: “It isn’t over ‘til it’s over.” (Yogi Berra)And it sure isn’t over.

in one episode of batman featuring julie newmar, bats was chasing her across the rooftops on the wharf. catwoman came to the edge of a rooftop with nowhere to go but down into the “WEST RIVER”… instead of being captured, she jumped/fell into the river but conveinently by the time batman got to the selfsame edge, catwoman was nowhere to be found.. neither on the pier splattered nor as a ripple of water in the river.

i HAVE written my own stuff NG.. for about the last 8 years or so.. thru multiple yahoo rpg groups that i run and so far i havent had many comlaints from my players :)

On Sweatbox: Correct me if I’m wrong, but the only child I was aware of as a victim in the story was Toad; we never did learn about the bones in Sweatbox’ crypt..That particular story seemed more a “showcase” for the crossover of George Takei than anything else, though the appearance of a reformed Mole to the rescue was most welcome..Also, if I recall correctly, at that period, it seemed as if most Dick Tracy stories were ending rather abruptly, and often, a little less than satisfactorily..For what it’s worth.

Also on Sweatbox: If I recall correctly, the only connection Toad had to Sweatbox is that she is the one who found the bones in Sweatbox’ crypt..I don’t recall a thing being said about those bones, or the bones found at the bottom of the temporarily drained lake..When did we learn that Sweatbox was supposed to be a serial child molester and killer?

“Stiletta still has a contract on him”? Hope she doesn’t expect Abner to rise from the dead and (try to) fulfill it.

But hopefully Kadaver returns yet again…..he, along with the original Flattop and Pruneface……those three are my all time faves and since this IS fiction, anyways…..why not? Plus more awesome new villains are always welcome as well!

Well, thanks for the fill-in. Looks like I was correct; the actual story didn’t feature that much detail, other than Sweatbox “luring” Toad – though I thought it was simply him, perceiving her as a threat, wanting to get rid of her for that reason..Obviously, a lot went on “off camera” or “outside the panel,” which is why I was rather confused about the story..In my opinion, Mole’s rescue of Toad was the high point of that story, and I saw both versions. More feeling in those scenes than I have seen in quite some time..Easily, Mole was the high point of that story.

Lena may belong to Silver, but the car is Sprocket’s. She knows how all the gadgets work and she evidently hasn’t explained all to her brother. I’m just wondering what other Bond type gadgets are on the car. Submarine has been mentioned, We have seen the guns, nitrous, caltrops, a shower… Maybe there is a snorkel she can send up to the surface and drive underwater before she hits the eject button.
