I’m posting this tonight, because I don’t know how soon he’ll be able to “tune in” again. Starman1948 is having surgery tomorrow. As a special part of this board, I hope that we all can do whatever we see fit to do, whether that be to send prayers or to keep a good thought . This poster has been a gentleman since he joined this group. I have never read a negative comment from him. Actually, every post I’ve ever seen has been positive and encouraging. All the best to you, Starman! Hope to hear from you soon! Let us know how everything turns out!

Gee, Diet’s security leaves something to be desired!

That would be (I’m pretty sure) Rocket Munro on the left (the muscle of the group) and Sputnik Munro (the coordinator of the brothers). Satellite does communications, so he’s probably a lookout or something, and of course, Flash, who did transport, flew off into space as collateral damage in the disposal of the Space Coupe.

The Munro Brothers (I could never keep their respective names and attributes straight, but I’ll trust Neil Wick’s reading) do indeed seem to have penetrated Diet Smith’s “security” with amazing ease. What they will do with him, under orders from Méliès (to whom they do appear to be loyal), remains to be seen, but must must somehow involve trying to extort and distract Mr. Bigg. What if Mr. Bigg does not take the bait but instead institutes a purge of Blackhearts of dubious loyalty?

Praying for Starman. Of all the posters I have ever known, here and on other forums in GoComics, Starman has always been the most positive and uplifting, and at the same time, believable, without going over the top. He and all the professionals working with him are in my prayers for a successful surgery and a speedy recovery.

As much as I hate being awakened at 3 in the morning, I think it was nice of the Munros to help Mr Smith Back to sleep.

Next to the clock there appears to be an ashtray with a cigar in it. I hope Diet doesn’t smoke in bed.

Diet has his name stitched onto the back of his robe; is that from his prize fighting days ????

Even given that the Munro brothers are collectively as smart as a box of rocks, they should be suspicious of how easy this was.

Just because we didn’t see the details of how they broke in doesn’t mean the Munro brothers just walked into the building. We’ve seen Smith’s security before when someone tried to steal a Space Coupe.The Munros can’t be all that stupid if they’ve managed to become the top level enforcers at the Blackhearts before being recently demoted by Mr. Bigg.

Presumably this will make it harder to nab Mysta later, so they may end up “settling” for Honey instead.

First off, best wishes to Starman…hoping you come through with flying colors!!! As for this not ending well for Diet……why wouldn’t it? He’s a lot more valuable to them alive than dead……and killing him and having Tracy and Co. hot on your heels is the last thing a below the radar operation like the Blackhearts would want……

According to Melies, this kidnapping of Diet is just a distraction, to give him opportunity to steal the gold and ultimately kill Mr. Bigg. Will Mr. Bigg fall for it? Does he know about Melies’ treachery?

That kidnapping of Diet Smith looked so smoothly done …One might think, as simple as changing 0ne’s avatar on the Board.

The seemingly difficult things, appear so effortless, when the Writer wants it so . . .Not unlike Chet Gould telling us that Bribery had detailed Blueprints for the Space Coupe, but he then decided. it was simpler to steal one, and had two men with NASA helmets pretend to be observers, and ‘ipso facto’ had one in their possession - ready for Mr. B, the very same day !

Speaking of avatars, noticed that Vista Bill has had a recent history of introducing new ones ! ?

Strange that he’s not been “tempted” to use the Rikki - likeness ?Those that use the Moon Maid symbolism are legion !

Starman, I hope you get through this in fine shape and back to your normal life. I have a friend with Glaucoma so I understand how important eyes are to quality of life. Best wishes to a fine gentleman!

I echo what everyone has been saying about this break-in at Smith Corp. being way too easy. For a company that prides itself on its technological prowess it has been very incompetent in security going back to the Gould era even. That 2 twins with NASA hats could walk in with forged IDs and roam around freely and steal a Space Coupe, no wonder Diet is so paranoid. But getting rid of your inventions is not the answer. Surely he could invent a much better security system.
