The rules are going to fly outside of the window as soon as Piro shows up at her door. LOL

I think Ms. RA is abusing her power as RA a li’l.

Des may just mention to “Bee” that she met Piro leaving her room as she was coming in, after the all-night rave.

I doubt it, though. We need to keep the “hypocrisy” sotry line going for a good while longer, then we can cut back to the Lu-Pru-Q triangle.

Apparently the Evanses are going to keep hammering away at the “no guests after 10 PM” rule no matter how implausible it may be. Can’t they think of something else to drive the plot instead?

I just thought of something. Bernice and Dez are in #201, Tiffany is in #200 … shouldn’t they be either next door or across the hall from each other?Everyone in this scenario should be bumping into each other in the hallway, shouldn’t they?

Really, just how many times when you were in college did someone come knocking on your door after midnight to borrow something or to discuss a homework assignment or to discuss some personal problem? Pretty much all the time, right? This no visitors after 10:00 PM strict rule is as hard to swallow as Frank’s magic financing of the warehouse project.

I grew up with the illustrations by Louis Darling, and was never as comfortable with the new artist.

Surely Tiffany isn’t so heartless as to turn away someone in dire need of shelter. She’s as much a “Good Samaritan” as Bernice!

I’m still hoping we get to learn more about Piro.

I worked with a woman named Elaine who was commonly called “E” by her friends. Personally, though, I think “Bern” would be a much better name if she is indeed to be matched with someon named “Pyro”! Put them together, and TJ has another insurance claim!

Alright. Bernice has become much more annoying as an RA than she ever was as just Luann’s friend.

Bernice, What about the guy that crashed in her room? Ever heard about he who is without sin cast the first stone?

Ugh, I’m not looking forward to seeing what Piro and Tiffany are talking about, it’s probably ridiculous.

Given he was after curfew, Bee would have rejected Gunther’s offer for coffee. One would surmise.

This week’s arc so full of promise, only to go down in flames. Reminiscent of the Hindenburg Disaster. Oh, the humanity!

If Bernice and Gunther start going out, we’ll see how much she likes he rules then. I think Tiff is now jealous; she had something else in mind.

What a pompous moron! Does s think she is a queen that we should bow to? And has she forgotten that she let Piro stay the night? And if she was to go back to Tiff’s room and find Piro, and make a fuss, Piro would ask why it was okay when he stayed the night at Bren’s.

Given that it is already after the 10:00 PM cut-off for visitors, does Gunther plan to go back to Tiffany’s room (and violate the rule even further!!!), or is he simply going home? (And does Ma Berger enforce a curfew for visitors too, or does Mr. Gray spend the night there these days?) When Gunther gets home, will he find Quill awake and talking on the phone to Pru?-Eh, who cares. What I want the strip to answer is the big question that’s still hanging over our heads – when Mr. Fogarty retired, did he movie to Sun City, and is he regularly getting it on with a busload of “Senior-itas” recently returned from Peru?

Seems like Bernice learned her disciplinary style from Captain Bligh.

Why does someone like Bernice who feels “everything has to be just exactly so according to the rules, and we must have perfect order at all times?” hang out with Miss messy-room-and-aimless-life Luann? Oh yeah, so that she can constantly scold her.

She’s gonna go to Tiff’s room and overhear what she thinks is Tiff and Gunth. Then that’s going to put a kink in Gunth’s plans to finally ask Ms. Bee out. I hope it isn’t this too predictable.

Too bad Bernice was given this position of authority. It has brought out an unappealing personality trait.

You missed your chance at coffe Bernice! Happy weekend to all.

Will Bernice go back to Tiff’s room to see if Gunter is still there?

Bernice knows that Piro crashes in various rooms, because he’s done it in her room twice, and she has explicitly said to him that she realizes he doesn’t have a dorm room. Nevertheless, she continues to let him get away with it instead of having the campus cops bar him from the dorm. She should lose her job as R.A.

Exactly what do those “rules” think that college kids can do at 10:01 pm that they aren’t already doing every chance they get all day and all night.

Isn’t this the same person who “broke” the rules when she let Piro stay in her room?

Dez should have given Gunther one of her long hugs. Then he would still be there when Bernice returned.

See, if Gunther had apologized for breaking the (pointless) rule, he might have won her hypocritical little heart quite easily.

-Good planning on the part of Piro to have made his bed in Bernice’s room first. That nulls out the “no overnight guest” rule. -We haven’t seen any of Luann’s sophomore classes. Wonder if we will and if there are any teachers that are characters like her freshman art professor. -Although I haven’t searched thru yesterdays comments, I believe someone called the way today’s strip happened.

“B” won’t discoverer Piro in Tiffany’s room. Gunther will, when he goes back there. And Bernice already knows that Piro is a vagrant who freeloads in the dorm, so she suspects he is staying overnight with somebody, because that’s what he does.

Why would Gunther go back to Tiffany’s room now? He isn’t going to ask her out, sleep in her room, help her with homework, or anything else tonight. He would more likely just go home.

Bee is a wasp?

Don’t know where this arc is going. The fork in the road met another fork in the road, and it looks like Gunther got off.

Yea! Another day without Pru.

So Bee thinks that Gunther came to her room to apologize for breaking that ridiculous curfew. Nobody would that, not even Gunther. If Gunther ever does ask her out for coffee (doubtful, at least in the next six months), he’ll find out what an insufferable martinet Bee’s become.

Double Standard, anyone?

A diminutive form of Elizabeth that used to be more common than now is “Bess”. Of course, in For Better or for Worse it was “Lizard Breath”.

“Rules are rules” until they aren’t rules…as in…it’s okay for HER to let Piro stay over but no one else can do that. Hypocritical if you ask me! “Do as I say, not as I do”.

*This arc has to continue next week. I’m guessing that Bernice will somehow discover that Piro stayed over in Tiffany’s room or at least went in initially. And she will be jealous and upset. It is not clear if their (Piro and Bern) relationship progressed while we were busy with other arcs. The fact that Piro was easily lured in with Tiffany suggests that he didn’t care where he stayed. And where will Gunther fit into this triangle???

If you don’t leave the building immediately, I’m calling Campus Security!G: Oh. OK, never mind.[G bows his head, slumps his shoulders, and slinks away.]

I’d just be happy if Bernice would lose the “Where’s Waldo?” look… she looks like his long lost sister.

I too strongly support the Buc/Imp deal as well. I suspect many here enjoy both fellow’s comments ABOUT THE COMIC, but not so much their sniping at each other. If they agree to it, it could be a big win for all us Luann fans!

I think the Evans could get a lot of humor out of the Tiff/Piro mishmash if they don’t blow it. I am thinking of Tiff watching Eisenstein’s early films with Piro and her comments.

Is there anybody’s room where Piro hasn’t crashed?

Des seems to be one of those people who meets someone and immediately feels that they know them intimately. It happened as soon as she met Luann. Apparently (as we saw before we met her), Des knows almost everyone at Moony.

Holiday happenings on the horizon…

I am noticing a whole lot of people posting who didn’t read the comments first about the incongruity of Bernice enforcing the 10:00 rule when she earlier broke it with Piro. Although I usually hate seeing people post without reading first (and in this case they would have seen that we’ve been talking about this all week), I’m glad they’re all posting so that Team Evans can hopefully see what a mess they are making here.

I also find myself wondering if Bernice would make Luann go home if she happened to be visiting and the clock struck 10:00pm.

The real deal with college dorms. There are no rules agains sleeping over. Unless it’s a Christian school. Which this apparently is without ever acknowledging it.
