I have a thought. The humans that morphed into monsters still retain their intelligence and emotions. Lyn has been working with the dittos all this time and now he’s ready to take his revenge on the man that stole his Holly. Just a thought.
Ok. I know there’s a point to all this, but things have gotten way beyond weird. I’m sure the change in appearance means something. At first I agreed with whoever it was that attributed it to Wally being covered in dust, but I now think it’s more than that. This is more like the “fade” that Flask and Marx exchanged during her “healing”, but still different. I guess this could be the Endtown version of the “Twilight Zone” :) We know this attacker looks like Lynn (or what we were given Lynn looked like) and we know Lynn went nightmare fuel, so it isn’t that much of a stretch to see this happen. Help Aaron! We need something to grab on to before we lose all sense of direction. Just which way IS up anyway? ;-)
Some kind of intermission? Or does this mean that the elements most important to Holly’s suffering have been shown…and the “show” is over? Is Wally wrestling with “The Narrator”? Is this a ditto hive mind expressing itself?

Why doesn’t Wally carry a Knife! That would really help.OK, now that Lyn is showing in hiss muted for it is starting to make sense again. He’s out on top with monster Lyn. I hope he can whistle up some dittos, the ones that were his and the ones that joined him after unity.
The Dittos are helping Holly to get over her past. They see Wally & CO as intruders that may prevent them from succeeding, which is why Lyn stared at them directly in this “dream” This is just to keep them away from Holly at a moment when the Dittos assumes that Wally would try to interfere with the simulation.
All of the nightmare fuel we have seen prior to this little trip down the rabbit hole have lost all traces of human appearance in the transition. Lots of eyes, yes. But also lots of pointy teeth (the better to munch you with, my dear). Even the chef who mutated went the traditional route. But both times this “Lyn” entity has changed, it has been into something that still bore some identifiable resemblance to it’s human form. Exceptions to the rule do happen in the real world; but it a story like this, I have a hunch that they exist to highlight something important. ;-)
Here’s another thought to mull over: Thinking back to the first time “Lyn” did the monster mash, what would most likely have happened if he hadn’t been there to mutate? There we had a newly mouse-ified Holly and a half dozen buddibombs. Seems likely to me that she was primed to go the way of her snake lady neighbor. But, amazingly, “Lyn” who had just left for work, reappears and, luckily for Holly, turns into a bigger, badder target and not only draws the attention of the happy little herd, but lures them out of the house so they do their thing without harming Holly. Amazing coincidence, noble sacrifice, or intentional intervention? Hindsight CAN be 20/20, but not until all the facts are revealed. Curiouser and curiouser. ;-)
Or…this could be a sign that something worse is coming. The other times characters in the “illusion” directly acknowledged Wally, a key event happened right afterwards. Is this a warning to “LOOK NO FURTHER”?
I’m guessing that the director of this little play has a few bones to pick with Wally. I’m not sure if its a matter of feeling that he should have taken better care of Holly or that whatever’s controlling this feels some sort of attraction to Holly and consider’s Wally to be a competitor. This might even be driven by Holly herself. That said, we have no idea of what’s happening with Kirbee, Chic, Irving or Holly. Its possible that each of them is alone facing their own special kind of hell.

It really sucks for him. But I think it can’t get any harder as now. So I hope I see it clears up for him this to the end of the week.
