It was easier and more colorful to use the labels of 50 years ago to describe people.

It never occurred to me until this strip that the thing the Dilbert staff is wearing now around the neck resembles a cow bell.

Friends, sodium ungulate allergies are real, and there are people suffering right now from improperly labeled foods. I urge you all to support clear labeling guidelines of sodium ungulate. Let’s stop the accidental allergic reaction of Vegans all around the world. /S

I don’t suppose anyone has noticed that the first three name changes were professions. Names of professions change from time to time, depending on where you live or the situation. When cows change their title, it’s usually due to a change in the cow’s situation, and it’s usually from “cow” to “steak” or “hamburger.” And I’m okay with that.

I’ve never seen a purple domesticated ungulate,

I never hope to see one.

But I can tell you anyhungulate,

I’d rather see than be one.

No, doesn’t quite work. I think I’ll stick with cow. Let me ask the garbageman.

I’m gonna nitpick here – just because. Domesticated cattle, including cows, have always been domesticated ungulates. That’s a technical term rarely used outside the particular scientific community involved in them. Most people will continue calling all cattle cows, because its easy.

A housekeeper is NOT a maid. A housekeeper traditionally has more duties, and is more trusted. Once upon a time a housekeeper was the supervisor of the maid(s). Generally a housekeeper with no maids to order around cleans, cooks, supervises children, runs errands, etc. Nowadays people call maids housekeepers in an attempt to placate them without actually paying them any more. These “housekeepers” rarely are trusted to perform all these tasks.

Thank you for putting up with my pedantry.

Pig is neither so hip nor so funny as he thinks he is. (Or should I blame the script writer, Cartoon-Boy?)

I would not want sit at a bar that served cows, even those calling themselves “domesticated ungulates.”
