I thought maybe we’d have to wait a bit longer for P’Gell. I see she doesn’t sneak in one finger at a time like some other characters — she comes right in full-figured (so to speak, curvy, too!).
BTW a login is required to be able to download at Digital Comic Museum. Looks like it is free to register there. Do not have an account but you can view the preview scans online
Also, everyone should go back to yesterday’s comment section and click on Pequod’s link to Leonard Starr’s “Mr. Am” story, because it was a masterpiece!
Here’s another place where we see time pass differently for comics characters: Spirit says that he met P’Gell during one of his first cases, but it was more than halfway through his 12-year run in the newspapers (issue #332 out of 645, according to Comic Vine).
By the way, the very last Spirit story arc was entitled “Denny Colt in Outer Space” – in 1952, long before Tracy went there. I wonder if Team Tracy will try to reconcile that story with the DT Moon adventures!
So, I’m guessing P’Gell is not Perenelle under an alias. Perhaps the Immortality Drug is crucial, then, to our understanding of the Spirit? I note, also, that Emil in the referenced Spirit story was old enough, at roughly 300, to have known Perenelle “back in the day,” if that were relevant.
At any rate, seeing Tracy and the Spirit at their leisure sipping coffees in what appears to be a high-end coffee-bar is relaxing for us, too….

Apparently this is not to be a story for little boys

Judge Magney beat me to the comment.

Another late 2016 passing, which I’m not sure anyone here had mentioned: Zsa Zsa Gabor, age 99, less than two months shy of her 100th birthday.

I can tell, this is not going to be a flashback for little boys.

Tracy has a teenage granddaughter who was born in 1965, and he’s not sure that he believes in immortality?

Istanbul is the most Amazing place to see. I traveled there myself in 2009. Many beautiful women…Ah!!

Was P’Gell a brush with “immortality”, or “immorality”? (Yes, I know, it was both LOL)
jrankin1959 about 8 years ago
It all goes back to one of my first cases in Istanbul… Don’t they all?

Wow… I think Eisner would be thrilled with this.

I just want Wakko and Yakko Warner to pop up behind her in the second panel and shout, “Hel-LLO, Nurse!”

Quite the Bettie Davis look too! Nicely done, Team Tracy, a delightful feast for the eyes. I know I can’t wait for this treat to fully mature now.

I love how Staton’s keeping true to the Eisner style of femme fatale. I just wish the GoComics colorist got her hair color right.
And that’s the only gripe I got, to be sure. Va-va-va-VOOM!sjsczurek about 8 years ago
Hey – is that Joan Crawford? Sort of looks like her to me.
