What’s the matter, Tiffany? Need a throat lozenge?

Wondered if Jack would even notice Tiffany, or if his interest is completely in Luann. I think today’s panel answers that question. Poor Tiffany, humble, but attractive Luann.

Gee, Tiffany, you were so eager to make fun of the idea that Luann could meet a guy in art class who liked dogs, and who would also appeal to you. So why are you still hanging around? Can’t be that this guy might seem worth knowing, right?

Luann – It was such a bad idea to call Jack in that situation (disrespectful to Jack). And sorry to see that Tiff likes Neanderthal types. Is that Nil’s band that will be playing? “The Cool Cadavers?”

I guess it isn’t enough for Tiffany that she’s got Piro (or at least exerts some influence on him). I think she’s the type of woman who has to have everyone else’s man whether she really cares for him or not.

Really, Tiffany?

Get a grip, girl. Just because he’s hunky, brutish, and alpha-male-ish does not mean you have to throw yourself at him. Besides, for reasons that escape me, he only has eyes for Luann….

Shame about Jack is – while he seems to be the ‘play the field’ guy (looking at any girl that smiles, shows him any notice, etc.) – he also seems rather genuine here. His demeanor looks sincere enough, and he’s there because Luann called him. He’s almost innocent-like … almost.

Part of me says Luann should give Jack a chance. And Part of me says do yourself a favor Luann and Introduce jack to Tiffany. They are made for each other. Then you would be free of Jack pursuing you and you could go back to pining over lost Quill and finally Deciding what to do with your life. And part of me doe not want to wish Tiffany on anybody. Gee wonder which part will win?

I am just amazed that millennials would even use an exclamation like “Ahem!”

Tiff has no issues with moving in on a hunky guy.

I knew a big hulking guy in college. He lamented that he was lonely. He was interested in (I am NOT making this up) wrestling, philosophy and theater. He said they attracted three different sets of people, and he couldn’t find anyone who was interested in more than one of them.

It may be that Jack isn’t really such a “Neanderthal” type. He just may be a diamond in the rough. I would wager that of Tiffany were to start dating Jack, Luann might start taking an interest in him. It doesn’t always happen, but it has.

Don’t know why Luann thinks Jack isn’t worth getting to know. A walk with the dogs in a public space seems a good way to find out more about a person. And Tiff, I don’t think Jack has even noticed you.

Neanderthals were smart as well as strong and not much different from us.

i can tell in the next strip that luann gets angry at tiffany over a guy she’s interacting with because she feels insecure and doesn’t think she’s attractive. she sees her self-worth as a privilege she would have only if a guy finds her attractive. even if she doesn’t like that guy too. in this strip, it’s the same thing with tiffany. she feels insecure too and gets so mad over the guy and luann too. she thinks she’s only worthy if a guy finds her attractive regardless of her liking of a guy or not. it’s amusing because i just realized it. but it’s pathetic too because how they see themselves is not true ;(
