Lizz has a new haircut! I think it looks good. (It was still shoulder-length the last time we saw her.)

Tracy seems confused.

The plot thickens on Silver and Sprocket’s relationship. Some of you already suspected they might not be blood relatives.

So why DID we all assume they weren’t husband and wife all along, since their age difference would make that the most likely first assumption? I can’t remember..

I’m not saying that now….guessing one was adopted.

That does take the stigma of incest less strong.

As I said before, they probably grew up in the same orphanage or were adopted.

Well! I’m relieved. ;^.^ But does that disqualify them from moving to…no, not going to say it. ;-)

Am I the only one who kinda feels sorry for Silver and wishes she could get shut of her…whatever he is?

Good Morning everyone…and you, Night. Silver and Sprocket are not related! Not that it will matter with Mr. Public Domain, though.

I kinda felt that was the case—I think they were both fostered….and Sprocket gave up all HER dreams to listen to Silver—but I think (as Bob Dylan said) “The times, they are a’changin’”

Aaaah, I knew Mr. C. would skirt that nasty bro-sis (bs) connection in the interest of getting published in this here family strip !

Either they’re adopted or possibly in-laws, with Sprocket being the widow of Silver’s brother.

I believe I brought up this possibility a few days back (along, I’m sure, with others)

Or perhaps Silver pretends Sprocket is his sister as part of the persona he uses in his scams. It would give him more flexibility to try to charm a female mark should circumstances warrant it. I think that’s why Stapelton pretended the woman he lived with was his sister in “Hound of the Baskervilles”

This reminds me of the garage-rock duo The White Stripes: Then-spouses Jack and Meg White billed themselves as brother and sister in publicity materials and interviews.

Returning Lizz to a shorter hair style is a mistake, imo. Here’s hoping she’s soon back to the lovelier Lizz we’ve come to expect in the Staton era.

I had forgotten about the Hound of the Baskerville connection. I’ve been speculating for a while that this is yet another instance of the Biblical she’s-my-sister occurrences of Abraham and sons, though clearly for nefarious reasons, instead.

Ever since Sprocket slapped Silver in the Flat Mobile, I have suspected that they were, in fact, married. Of course, today, men and women live together all the time and are not married. Oops! Just got flagged! This is a family strip, I was just reminded!

Oops. There goes the beautiful sibling relationship.

Lizz always looks more like Lizz to me with short hair.

It may be that Silver and Sprocket are orphans raised in the same foster family but never actually adopted. Many time, children raised in the same household will think of each other as brother and sister even if they aren’t related by blood.

I knew it I knew it! Well actually I didn’t.

And, what a storyline twist! After all these weeks of tip-toeing around the possibly incestuous nature of the relationship between brother and sister Silver and Sprocket Nitrate, now Lizz’s background investigation reveals that they are not brother and sister at all (at least, not each other’s)! Wow! Now it is possible; nay, mandatory; to re-think what is and has been going on between them all along. I admit, I am here assuming that they know what Lizz has found out—I would think they must, but we cannot be certain (prima facie, Mike loves to throw us an occasional curve ball, script-wise)….

This could be a type of relationship that Barry Allen and Iris has (On the TV show.)

To recap; Barry’s mother was murdered, his father went to jail for her murder. Joe West adopted Barry and he and Iris grew up from 10 on in the same household.

Now, Barry’s just about to marry Iris.

Hey—I’ve read the Flash for years! How come I don’t know this ? And what ever happened to Wally?
