Scary how close this comes to the truth. Except for the part about sending the Top Secret briefing document to Fox. Or maybe they do. The Trump administration does not appear too worried about security clearances.

It’s really sad how manipulated Donald is by Fox News. I wouldn’t be surprised if Sean Hannity winds up in the West Wing one of these days.

Not even an exaggeration. Bolton is now National Security Advisor because Trump liked him on FOX news.

We will see how all the new trump staff changes will go. Trump has a history of not being able to fire who he hates and he can’t keep those he loves.

I fear that if and when we get a Democrat in as President, paybacks will be something else as the conservatives will dish out everything they were handed during Trump. Wish we could all just get along. Maybe a good viable third party? Both sides are so unwilling to listen or reason. Too much partisanship these days and not enough people willing to think and change sides depending upon the situation.

The problem is that Trump just flat out doesn’t care about the job, and doesn’t seen any reason to even try any more. He’s used to having everyone else do the work while he takes the credit, and at this point he’s no longer pretending that it’s not the case now. It’s as if he’s daring Congress to do something about his behavior, because he knows they won’t.

I will be tuning in tonight to see the Stormy Daniels interview on 60 Minutes. I heard someone say that since millions of teen boys will see Stormy Daniels for the first time tonight, it is called Palm Sunday.

I noticed trump was fairly silent during the incredible student anti-gun marches yesterday. It was wonderful to see the kids out there, future voters.

It’s not surprising that he’s easily manipulated by anyone who knows how to massage his narcissism.

Regarding his inability to absorb security briefings, that also is no surprise. It’s been an open secret for years, that a third grader has a longer attention span than Trump.

It is also sad that as incredible as the marches were yesterday, we know that trump will not take action. A disgusting comment from NRATV yesterday was that if it had not been for the shooting, no one would know the names of the kids at MSD. Yes, and that is just the way they would want it to be, if only they could. The NRA host also said the kids were hypocritical for continuing to want to have cars, despite the fact that cars can be dangerous. Yes, cars can be dangerous but cars have a purpose besides killing! We have heard all of these arguments before. It is time to not let the gun nuts get away with it. The rights of people to live, young and old, supercedes any gun rights.

In the past year, several progressive organizations have solicited for funds to put ads on Fox News, figuring that was a way to get info to Trump in a context that he would accept without thought or question.

Fox News Analyst Quits, Calling Network a ‘Propaganda Machine’

A longtime analyst for Fox News is leaving the network, saying that he could not “in good conscience” remain with an organization that, he argued, “is now wittingly harming our system of government for profit.”

“In my view, Fox has degenerated from providing a legitimate and much-needed outlet for conservative voices to a mere propaganda machine for a destructive and ethically ruinous administration,” Colonel Peters wrote in his message.

“Over my decade with Fox, I long was proud of the association,” he added. “Now I am ashamed.”

“As a retired military officer,” he said, “I simply could not continue with Fox in good conscience.” (Is he saying Fox is UnAmerican?)

I put a good bit of blame on the Speaker of the House and the Senate Majority Leader. I believe the moderates from both parties could broker compromises on most issues if the Speaker and SML didn’t insist on having a majority of Republican votes guaranteed before even putting a bill up for a vote. And then they both insist they won’t bring up something for a vote unless they are guaranteed Trump will sign it, even though we all know that 1) he changes his mind hourly and reneges on promises daily, and 2) likely won’t veto anything that both Houses have passed because he doesn’t want to take the blame for non-passage.

Also, to my NEA friend, if you are trying to say that the AFT is more liberal than the NEA, that is not true. AFT is very liberal as is the NEA. My dad was president of the NEA for his school district, many years ago. He was annoyed that the AFT endorsed Nixon in 1972, as opposed to McGovern. It was not just his own personal preference that McGovern be elected, the NEA did endorse McGovern. I was rather young in 1972, but remember that clearly. It seems to me that the merge between the AFT and NEA should be made to happen. Teachers need to be as united as possible. The AFT is affiliated with the AFL-CIO and George Meany endorsed Nixon. I don’t think the AFT would ever endorse the GOP today unless the GOP were to become much more liberal than they are today.
