But . . . mammals don’t lay eggs and reptiles don’t have fur . . . And Tommy’s rabbit friends say that that story is absolutely untrue (ridiculous even), but there’s something in the grass behind Tommy (who is wearing his leash! (And it’s paid for, don’t forget))!

Don’t worry Pucky! I’m sure those are unfertilized eggs produced just for people food. The chickens do it all the time. You can ask them (or have Burt ask them, anyway). Nothing dark about it. No need to get anxious.

I’ve noticed some cute details in this comic! Not only is buzzy mouse dressed up, but Tommy is on his leash and harness – all the better to report from!

Really, Currently Unintroduced Scrawl Writer, check your attitude! It’s Clucky Chicken’s birthday whether you like it or not and Elvis is allowed to be happy for his buddy. Keep poking Elvis like this and there may be consequences.

Brand new Easter clothes for all the boys, and Tommy is really rocking that skimmer! Lupin, that’s not very nice, Cluckie Chicken is sweet, and Elvis just did try to protect you (mistakenly, but still he was there for you if you needed him)!! I do love how Elvis covers CC’s eyes so he can’t see the update. Happy Easter to all , may peace and love be abundant in your world today!

The People look very nice too. That’s a lovely hat the Woman is wearing, the baby/toddler looks sharp in his suit and the Man is rocking the casual look.

I think my Mom had that same hat back in the 1950’s (no matching corsage). Everything old is new again!

My very first pet was an Easter duck named Oscar Fiddlepoof! I was not yet three years old. We came upon a display of live baby chicks and ducks for sale in Murphey’s five and dime store. Somehow, I convinced my mom I really, really had to have one of the blue baby duckies. We lived in apartment at the time, and I don’t think my mom really thought the whole thing through. She later said she figured the little duck wouldn’t live very long so she wouldn’t have to worry about coping with an adult duck in a one bedroom cold water flat! My dad had grown up on a farm and knew how to tend to ducks. Oscar quickly grew from duckling to duck. At breakfast, he would grab hold of my dad’s pant leg and shake it until Dad gave him a few bites of toast.

Unfortunately, one of the neighbors in the main apartment building (our apartment was above the garage) tipped off the landlord about a duck in a child’s wading pool in the back yard, and Dad was given the warning that either the duck goes, or we’d be evicted, so Oscar went to live on my dad’s friend’s farm where he had a nice irrigation pond to swim around in.

I also think the boys look handsome in their suits. Not to mention that “bow ties are cool”.

I’m loving the April calendar page: Pucky in his jammies! Buzzy at his side with the itty bitty coffee mug (or is it hot chocolate?) Froggie gone fishing in his bucket hat, rain slicker and little yellow waders with his tiny creel basket at his side! Wild violents in bloom. All the while, an April shower dots the pond!

Today I saw a little dream come true-I was able to read BCN in my color Sunday comics. It looks great. For all Oregonian readerss well as those who got BCN in print last year, remember to drop a quick. Ore to your editors or publishers, thanking them for the addition.thanks to our beloved Georgia as well, for not giving up. Happy Easter to all, especially that dapper little Clucky Chicken.

Easter morning. The Mrs is a Scotswoman, and today we are having Scotch eggs at lunch. MMMMMMMMM Oh, and CHOCOLATE!!!!!!

I love all the Easter spring colors that everyone’s wearing, especially Tommy’s. I care about Clucky Chicken. He does look handsome today!

Oh my Cat! Jesus Christ Superstar is going to be live in concert tonight on TV! How did I not know this before?! Wooooooooo!

Dang, it better be good. Now I’m all worried. I have VERY high standards.

One last time for this thought: Easter and April Fool’s Day are the same day this year. And, when you think about it, dying and coming back from the dead is really the best April Fool’s gag ever.
